Both of my 2 oldest son's and their families live between Houston and College Station, Tx. On of my boys is here working and worried about his family. (Even though my other son lives next door...) I told them all to go to my sisters in DFW but they decided to hang tight at their homes. So we are in contact every hour.

It's been pretty quiet here. I hope everyone is doing well. Last I heard over 77k have lost power :(

We had a rough morning, yesterday maybe over the whole day we had 1.5" rain but from 2 till 7 we had 3.7" of rain.
My genie is still on watch too as we still have power.

Diesel as you know this is just the beginning of what's to come for you and everyone there in SE Texas. Looks like your in Houston? That outlook for the next 3 to 5 days doesn't look good. Stay safe and praying that when power does go out that it's not for extended periods of days.

Jayala,

So sorry to hear about your tank! I know how frustrating that can be to finally get your tank all lined out, only to lose it.

I sure hope the rest, family and home, made it through ok.

Mark

How is your family this morning? Hoping all are safe and sound.

Our house never got flooded not even close as it's build 6' higher than the 100 year flood plain we have here.
Besides my whole house genie just kicked on for 3 min ;) but power got restored quick.
Will post pics up when things get bad here.

Thank you Texas! Great show too! At least I thought so. Going back tomorrow!

Post up some pics.
Maybe not on this thread but I'm pretty sure R2R has one going that members who went can post pics and their experiences so far.

It will make landfall a little north of Corpus.........
Well if that happens my gem and bandit and all their friends can take the open water as I will be floating my redneck ark.
Diesel, your sense of humor in all of this is refreshing. I know first hand (Katrina survivor that lost everything) how stressful it is to go through a storm of this magnitude. Prayers....

Had to make the responsible decision, cancel my hotel reservation in New Orleans, and skip MACNA. I think we will get mainly rain in Sugar Land, but might be a whole bunch.

For the guys and gals going to New Orleans, enjoy yourself and be safe.
Thank you Overboard. Sorry you couldn't make it to MACNA. Praying for you and your and your families safety.
