Also, it looks like there is some redness around the mouth - possibly an infection. That could be the reason for it not eating.

I’d buy the keeper or else they die in a week and are worthless. They’re a great food item for all fish.

Agreed that is where I get them and if you use the keeper and rinse them daily, change the water, and keep them in the fridge (good thing I have a garage fridge) they last months for me.

It looks bacterial. I would use a broad-spectrum antibiotic like kanamycin or nitrofurazone. You can also combine the two to increase effectiveness. These are sold as Kanaplex and Furan-2, respectively.

I have those on hand. Since he isn't eating, I would assume I would just put it in the water. Can I mix these with the prazipro I put in tonight, or do I need to filter that out first?

I personally don't like mixing meds. I would remove the prazipro before dosing the antibiotics. Running carbon for 12+ hours should do the trick.

Not sure how long those will take to clear the prazi, as there is very little carbon in it (and an unknown type). I usually throw a handful of ROX 0.8 carbon in a media bag when I want to remove a med.

I am thinking with the potential of infection, the antibiotics will take priority over prazi. I will run carbon tonight and start antibiotics tomorrow.

I tested her water in her main tank today. Her ammonia was 0, nitrite, 0. Nitrates were over 100!!!! turned bright purple almost immediately! She is doing a 50% water change right away, then in 2 days another 50% change! She has no coral. just fake coral in a 30 gallon cube.
@Deinonych - I don't have any of that on hand, so I will do a 50% water change then run carbon. That should get most of it out, I would think!

Idk if someone daid it or not but my tang goes NUTS for green nori with garlic from ocean direct and i put some selcon. I cant even get my hand out of the way be4 he starts chowing down. And hes gotten much much fatter in the last week and half since i just started using it.

All too often fish stop eating because of internal parasites and then weaken developing secondary bacterial infections that are finally observable, red sores, etc. Sometimes it takes awhile to defeat internal parasites. Let's hope this is not the case but be prepared for more than the normal 10 day treatment period. Hope this helps.
