I've been using it for couple years. Not everyday but rugular basis. I've used it as a dip for zoas, algae control, the dinos, and believe using as a dip for my duncan saved it.

Make sure you get this exact bottle. I know Home Depot has it.

Use process of elimination. I've never dose hydrogen peroxide so I can't comment on it but if that doesn't work get some red slime remover and increase flow over the sand. My problem was I used to light of a sand and couldn't really increase flow without creating a sandstorm. So I am now in the process of redoing my reef and will be using Arag-Alive Special Grade reef sand which I'm told can handle a lot of flow and can even be gravel vac-ed.

Depends on the coral. Usually upside down so anything in that dies falls out. But you will hear different things from 30 seconds to 20 minutes. Use your intuition. If the coral looks sketchy as is the source...well first don't buy it but any coral could have a nasty hitch hiker. I would research the coral you have whether it be a zoa or a Goni and see what others recommend. When you purchase corals be sure to look at their setup and how they do things. If it's a hack job set up, chances are they haven't taken proper precaution. I've learned in this hobby you will get a million different opinions. Take them all in and then use your own mind to make a determination. Some things are black and white...don't ever put copper in your fully stocked reef with inverts corals and fish. However treating Ich you could probably find 800 different cures people swear by.

I would ask Randy Holmes-Farley. That man is a genius.

What solution do you make for a dip? Better than coral rx?

Only dipped zoas and few lps never tried sps. I put coral in cup of tank water then add capful of peroxide at a time until I saw bubbles forming on coral. Them let sit for 10 mins or so, then back in tank.
I use bayer as a dip on all corals

He may have his own section. He usually will chime in.

I hope for you that it is Cyano. Dinos are just about 100X worse and will kill your tank first and then kill it again. For fun. I lost a fully stocked two year old 30 gallon mixed reef to dinos a few months ago. It smothered all my coral, sandbed, glass, inverts (clams, etc) and then killed off the fish one by one. It only takes one spore to infect a tank. Coral, inverts, and fish can easily carry the disease undetected. There are some bottled remedies you could use, but as far as doing blackouts, it didn't even dent my dino outbreak. I eventually had to scrap everything and start completely fresh. Good luck and keep us updated.
