I'm now confusedEmergency make it as high as it can go without draining water onto the floor then forget about it
Look on synergy reefs page they have the sizes on there page I forget off the top of my head is like two inch diffence between the open to the secondary and the secondary to the emergency
Siphon set. Secondary is about 1" higher, emergency is about 1" higher than thatIt's simple
Set the full syphon
Now make the secondary two inches above that
Then make the emergency two inches above the secondary or four inches above the full syphon.
You might have to adjust but to get it started that should be fine
When ur not so tired look at synergy reefs web page and how they set up there box. It's a diffent style but the concept is the same
The output size for the Mag 9.5 is 3/4". You are restricting the output down to 1/2" and that is reducing the flow of your pump. Also, my mag 9.5 pump for sombre reason doesn't send a lot of flow at 3 ft head going from 3/8 vinyl hose to 1/2 pex. Any ideas?
I agree but should be more than what it's trickling into itThe output size for the Mag 9.5 is 3/4". You are restricting the output down to 1/2" and that is reducing the flow of your pump.
No, you should keep the same output as what the Syncra or the mag 9.5 has, so keeping the 3/4" size is what you should do, and hard PVC pipe will keep flow better than flex pipe willOk so my plan is to switch to half inch vinyl hoses. But for now this will have to work. Not a whole lot of flow. But one I got to half inch vinyl do you think i should be good
I agree but the tank was built with 1/2 pex piping for the return. And the pump is a 3/4. So I would have to go to 3/4 tubing, and from 3/4 barb fitting to a 1/2 male threadNo, you should keep the same output as what the Syncra or the mag 9.5 has, so keeping the 3/4" size is what you should do, and hard PVC pipe will keep flow better than flex pipe will

If I hard plumb it up to the tank I would still need a connector to go from 3/4 to 1/2 due to the pex pipes going in for the return.Just hard plumb it with 3/4 all the way to the tank. Ur loseing a lot of flow with vynal tubing and the set up in general mine as well make the best flow scenario u can
