Now as for those hydroids how long did you wait before changing water?
It can take up to 30 hours

It's a 60 gallon cube. About 70 gallons total volume.

Were the unhappy with you before changing the water?
That is what I watch for. The reaction before removal.
Should have been about 47mg of fenbendazole if you have a scale.

She is sleeping now but treatment again tonight only 12 more weeks to go! (Too bad it's 3 times a week)

Yes, they were very unhappy before I changed any water. They had completely retracted in their tubes.

Well what I would do is watch them for a week.
If they still refuse to parish then I would do it again and wait the full 30 hours.

my Fish Bendazole arrived today (Yay!!)

I am going to do a series of super strength Dips tonight, and then I am going to treat the tank this weekend when I can monitor it.

I will follow your dipping instructions - 1 red sea test kit spoon worth of fenbendazole with 3 gallon water, I might even go for 1 gallon unless you think that might be a bad idea Todd.

Yes 1.5mg per gallon of water. So 1 scoop per gallon will work for you.
1 level scoop of the red sea spoon is 1.1mg so I make it a little mounded for 1.5mg

Ok so that would be the same as a tank treatment.

Wouldn't a 5 minute dip require a stronger solution to kill the hydroids in 5 minutes?

Yes I'm sorry didn't recognize it was a dip treatment.
During my dips for a single frag I use 1 scoop for 1 litre of water for 5 minutes.
(If they appear withing 24 hours I dip again)

No, Its Pure Fenbendazole so nothing to separate.

So I also dosed my tank. I poured one packet into on gallon of fresh water and dumped a little more than half.( I think I should have went with half on the dot) did it at 9am. Most corals don't look to have full polyp extension, sps and lps, all shrimp, fish and crabs look fine. Some of the hydroid look a little saggy. The little fans are not perky. But most don't look effective as of yet. Hoping I did not over dose, I'll keep updating. I may do a wc at 9am if they look dead, may wait for 30 hours to do first wc. Feel free to chime in.[emoji1417]

I have not heard of people using this in tanks with clams so this will be an unknown I can't emagine any harm though. (I have never owned a clam)

It's bin 24 hours and all but a few are headless. I'm going to wait for 30 hours to do my first wc. But missing a twin spot goby. Both of them and my scooter Blenny didn't like it. Looked kinda weirded out.

Ended up doing a 50g wc. Looks like all the hydroids look dead, but one... All have lost their heads but one still has it. Don't know if it's dead and not lost it or what. I'll up date that latter. All corals look good so far. Did my wc at 31 hours, due to traffic. I have over 20 sps corals/colonies and maybe 10 lps.

I have only have one monti, Idaho grape that RTN a little
All fish, shrimps and crabs are doing well
