High ppm all of sudden?

If everything is working correctly you should have around 2-4ppm RO water. Unless your Tap water TDS is through the roof. Then the DI takes off the remaining TDS and drops it to 0.

That could do it.. It's called TDS Creep. When the system is off the TDS on the RO water side goes up. The first half gallon of water out of the RO is high in TDS, It will eat your DI resin up. Flushing the membrane does nothing as it is already on the RO water side. The way to solve this is to make large batches of water infrequently OR put a RO/DI Bypass valve in so you can collect the first 32-64oz of RO water before closing the valve and sending it to the DI canisters.

It's likely that your RO membrane is bad, or is installed correctly (are you sure the water lines are connected correctly?) DI alone can do a pretty good job removing TDS, but it will not last long when the input water has a lot of crud in it, so it could be that your RODI system is effectively just a pair of DI canisters now, and they only lasted a week as a result.

I would check plumbing, check the internal seal on the RO membrane, and if both appear to be good, contact BRS about a potential faulty unit.
 
I would aslo look into your source water for chlorine, or chloramines. These will absolutely destroy the RO membrane, which will push high TDS water through your DI depleting it prematurely.
 
I HIGHLY recommendaking a bypass around the DI resin when flushing every time you turn the unit on. I was burning through DI resin like crazy until someone on here recommended this to me. Now I get months out of my resin

If yes, then yes. You plug the one end from the RO into the 3 way(bottom), one to waste(I use a Y adapter so I only have 1 waste line), and the other to your DI.

When you flush the unit, you send all the water to waste, when TDS comes down while flushing(ideally you want a TDS meter right after your RO membrane), you close the flush valve, then close the 3 way sending water to your DI.
 
I’m all for forum based trouble shooting, but brs has excellent tech support for rodi systems in particular. Why not give them a call?

So instead of having 2 waste lines i can add a y adapter to keep it one?

Im going to double check it today. So you are saying its high enough to burn my resin that fast? I use my RO unit frequently. So far i used it to make 1 44 gallon water change. And more frequent evaporation add up.

What you have labeled as to RO, I think you mean FROM RO? If yes, then YES that is how it works.

I have a Y adapter on my waste line, one from the RO waste, and the other from the "flush"(3 way) line, with just 1 line actually going to waste.

How hard is it to change DI resin? Never did it before. And i couldnt find a good youtube video to show me how they open the cartidges, and etc. Do u know any good video?

I have not. How do i check that? Any test kit? And even if there is thr 6 the stage wouldnt take care of it?
