Sorry don't know what that is. It's a Bryant 2 speed unit outside in the yard with furnace in the attic.
Sorry I was trying to lighten the situation by being sarcastic... "second emergency overflow drain, Herbie Overflow..." on the back of your tank.

So it's like 110 in California and my AC took a vacation a few hours ago. House is heating up fast and tank temp has started to creep up. I know I can't get an AC repair done tonight so will probably end up having to float ice bags for the tank while I drink 40 beers to try and calm my anger. Do you guys think I should just try and cool the return pump chamber so cool water flows in or try and just put bags in the DT? I'm a little nervous if these zip lock bags leak any melted ice water. Perhaps using the gel cold packs is a better option?
I’ve floated Ice packs and almost everything in my tanks.
Over here, our houses aren’t build for hot summers (More so Cold winters and Mild summers). Recently we’ve been hitting some hot temperatures and my tanks take a plummet due to rising temperatures and the house not being kept cool. The only way I have to combat this is 10+ ice packs that I rotate every 2-3 hours.

I was wondering how that went...
He never showed up. Both he and his brother called me and said they were 20 minutes away. I waited hours into the night and no one showed up and they wouldn't answer the phone.

Luckily it will only be 110 today so one degree cooler then yesterday.

So temp has continued to trickle up. I have multiple fans going in the room. I have frozen water bottles to add to return chamber if we hit 80 in the tank.

I thought maybe dropping RODI ice blocks into my 10g ATO and chilling down the water in there so as it auto fills its colder water?

Eh, it won't do as good. Cool the display or sump (if sump is in stand)

Another AC guy coming at 100pm today. I pray it's an easy fix or this is going to become quite the battle. The wife and kids abandoned me for the cool air in the mall so now I'm going to get a double wallet hit today.

AC guy came early but he looks to young to offer a beer I just hope his youth doesn't affect his AC knowledge but I'm darn glad to see a young guy out working hard and earning an honest pay check.
Not all youngsters are utter steaming garbage, lol. Post up what crapped the bed, I'm curious about the condensate float setup

It was the float sensor in the pan. He said main port for the pan was clogged again so system shut off. He said my furnace needs to be raised up so they can angle the drain pan to get better drain into the line and angle the back up over flow pan to drain better out of the side of the house. Kid is hustling in this heat and doing a darn good job but I think I got socks older then he is.

Another disaster averted. But I learned something again. You need quite a few bags of frozen water bottles to move that tank temp down. Seems to go up much easier then down. Plan accordingly guys. I may buy a portable AC unit for emergencies just like we have battery back ups and generators.

Glad to hear you were able to get everything worked out, living in Florida I plan for power outages and a/c system failures.

Look into getting one of these as a backup it helped keep my system nice and cool last time I had a system failure

Hmm thatsa tough one how many gallons and what's your water temp at now. I'd be hesitant to float any bags the best judge of how y[updater is doing is the behavior of your livestock you might try increasing your water flow add a few extra powerbeadss to increasewatermoement. Or what we used to doing those circumstances at sea world was run to the store and get some jugs of distilled water and did small water changes periodically. I'd make sure anything that could generate hear like heatersand lights are off to prevent any excess heat.but personally I would avoid floating anything that could potentially contaminant your tank
Now cooling down the beer is an easy fix a trick I also learned when working for sea world and in college. The fastest way to get beer to its ideal temp is to spray it down witha fire extinguisher you might want to do this outside it gets a little messy but will give you nice cold beer quickly.
