How did LiveAquaria miss this one???

And just exactly how would you feel if you had routine doctors visits and they said you were healthy. Then in a week get hospitalized to find you have stage for colon cancer, and it was missed. Well sorry it’s a mistake, sorry you have less than 2 months to live.

Bad news Bruh, happens all the time. And I do mean ALL the time.
And sometimes the doctor just plain doesn't care and walks off and leaves a patient floundering.

Exactly.

My wife slipped on her deck. This caused some pain in her leg. but not life threatening or it seemed. She went to our local clinic for a follow up, the lady she saw didn't take the pain seriously...probably assuming she was drug seeking.

Several days later the pain was worse to where her leg was swelling. I brought her to the emergency room, an ultra sound later she was diagnosed with a blood clot and was promptly put on blood thinners.

I'm on high alert now regarding any pain my wife gets now.

Hello,

This is exactly what I’m talking about, not just with fish but it’s with animals and humans. Things are over looked, life is no longer valued, it’s been replaced with money. I hate how physicians avoid medications just because it means more work. Pain meds is one of them. Most doctors aka family doctors will not prescribe them. Now it’s referred out to a specialist physician. I’m definitely okay with solving the opioid crisis, but ignoring ones complaints with out proper diagnosis is not good. They absolutely should have considered a possible blood clot, she had some common symptoms. Im definitely glad they found it,‘and all too many times we see this in the er. We see things missed, we see family doctors who literally cold stop certain medications and their body can’t handle it. If someone comes to me i try and solve the problem, if I can’t I get help and stay attached to the problem.

Society, sadly has placed profit and their own personal gain over people’s simple needs and life itself.

Woah, how did a thread about a little parasite on a fish escalate to a conversation about the evils of society? Gotta love the interwebs. ;)

Ive received frags online from a very reputable vender with acoel flatworms and aiptasia. Fortunately I was able to address the aiptasia before it spread.

I abandoned my first LFS because every tank is visibly contaminated with (insert parasite name of your choice)!!! I’m not sure how they stay in business.

The LFS I go to now openly displays aiptasia with 4” polyps. I have a fish in QT now that came with black ich.

I’ve purchased fish from Petco. Crashed my first tank due to velvet.

I think its important, especially for new hobbyists to understand that “clean” livestock is very hard to come by. I thought I could avoid parasites by ordering from only one premium vender. I found out quickly that everything has to go through some QT or dipping process.

The quality of divers den has went down just as much as regular live aquaria IME. I’ve received regal angels with lymph, they once sent me captive bred Bangaii cardinals when I ordered azure damsels, and acro colonies bleached white. Add that to the extra charges and changes to their warranty policies and it has made stop ordering from them after being a customer for over 20 years.
I also recently received a regal angle with lymph!

Oh good LORD, drama much.

What a nuncisence thread. Purely intended to drive a false narrative.

There is a billion fish in the ocean with identical or worse parasites. Some slip through. The only reason this thread was created was to cast dispersion. If you really are that offended let your wallet talk. Long diatribes about compassion on this particular event it just a bit too much.

I'm honestly surprised Diver's Den is still located in Rhinelander, WI considering they shut down the rest of DRFS/LA up there.

My initial post was to inform the masses of the chances, not cast shade on companies. Calm down people. Anyone else complaining about this thread being a nuisance can go somewhere else. It’s childish and annoying. Thank you to those who came and expressed their opinions respectfully.
