How often do anemones move?

no brc3dprinting, they were cheaper and had colors to choose for my nero 3..

See sadly iSeaLive is the only person that makes them for my specific powerhead the Hygger Mini and I noticed you could buy the digital files for it but I don’t have a 3D printer so that’s useless. So it cost me more ($20) being as they are the only makers of one for mine.

This stuff is universally Awesome for anenome proofing anything.

Thanks! I bought it when the anenome needed it so now I have one coming. It’s just a waiting game I will say I like the color and the design of it and the fact that it was won’t wear out like thin screen or panty hose will. Plus it has great reviews.

The Only issue is algae can grow on it if it's in direct light and restrict flow . I have a dedicated old toothbrush but I use every time I do a water change. Pull the pump out really quickly, hydrogen peroxide toothbrush. Scrub-A-Dub-Dub put it back in. It doesn't take 2 minutes per pump.

Me too lol I just cleaned it! It’s looking sparkly. I soak it in vinegar every few months.

Just my two cents as a younger millennial - a lot of us are pretty bad at communication, and pretty much all of us seem to be bad at dealing with uncomfortable situations seriously. So, in my experience, we generally deal with those situations using off color humor (typically dark humor, like the “lol” above). Dkmoo’s explanation was pretty much spot on.

Anyway, more on topic, my condolences on the nem. As stated, lesson learned. Install the nem guard, move on, and keep learning (hopefully through less unpleasant means in the future). Happy reefing!

nah, we’re just the first generation to come of age with widespread — near constant — internet use.

we’ve developed a lot of jargon, lingo, and communication idiosyncrasies that make it difficult for older generations to pick up what we’re putting down.

that doesn’t mean we are bad at communication. We just do it… differently.

I got a rose bubble tip anemone last week and it found a little spot and now it moved toward the powerhead. I’m trying to avoid chopped up anemone. I know I could try and move it carefully but I don’t want to kill it. Does anyone have anemones and a wave maker without an anemone guard and have never had any issues? Are they absolutely necessary? This is the wave maker I have and I have found some guards.

from my experience, the nems like to move around at night, knowing so, I put my powerhead at 5% power at night, but keep my pump on at 100%. nem guards do help minimize the damage if they do get sucked up.

Im not familiar with the wavemaker you have, but I know that the mp10 can be scheduled to different times of the day. I would keep a close eye, I have over 25 RBTA's now, and I give them out all the time... they split faster than aptasia, and help control nutrients in my system.

Even that lingo is used to those outside of the know, it can Easily cause a failure to communicate. That is bad communication.

The most relevant and obvious here. Lol has meant One thing mainstream since it was a thing. I remember. I was there. Laughing Out Loud. Everyone's grandmother now knows this.

When it starts being used in the Opposite way than it has Always meant, broadly to an audience that is mostly not in the peer group that does understand; it's a failure to communicate.

When I was 16, bad First changed from actually being Bad, to Good....

If I had been loving up on my grandma's meatloaf, and told him her tasted bad, That was bad communication in my eyes. Not speaking to your audience. As multiple young millennials have confirmed this is a young millennial thing. I'm a mid millennial with high schoolers and it still bypasses me.

“I used to be with it, but then they changed what *it* was. Now what I'm with isn't *it*, and what's *it* seems weird and scary to me. It'll happen to you...”

(Older millennial here, guess I’ve just done a decent job keeping up).

here you go - I found it. .17 pages. i tried to mediate with a few posts in the middle of it but it just got out of hand...

sry @AydenLincoln - we are off topic again =P

Thanks !! L. M. A. O. !!! ( love my apples & oranges) :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

All of the posts regarding this millennial communication deficiency illustrate how bad millennials are at communication, but this statement screams it. I am not even sure what you are trying to say. You clearly have no concept of proper punctuation or capitalization.
