Most of the online places that sell frozen look like they have good stocking levels. As I noted in my original post, I did just place a large frozen order, although Feb/March is when I typically do it anyhow. I do worry a little bit about whether warehouse operations and/or the transportation providers will be temporarily disrupted at all. Interestingly, the place that refills my CO2 cylinders is now closed to walk in customers. After getting my cylinder refilled, it occurred to me that perhaps I should get a spare ….. noop, closed (and not enthused about delivering one). Ironically in my professional career I have been a supply chain planner yet am completely scatter brained in my personal life. Probably why my home improvement projects always seem to require 20 trips to HomeDepot.

Anyhow, back to the original topic, anyone else buying a bit more?
Just placed a BRS order for frozen in case my LFS can not open or runs out. My UPS guy today said its crazy right now, everyone is ordering on line.
As for amazon a few hours ago: Amazon is asking third-party sellers to stop shipping most goods to its warehouses as the online retailer grapples with a ........ fueled surge in demand for medical supplies and household products. The ecommerce company told sellers in a note on Tuesday that it will only ship "household staples, medical supplies and other high-demand products" unless Amazon already has other purchased items on hand in its warehouses.

I am seeing this too. Product that is listed as "Prime" (Which I think of as arriving in the next couple of days) actually won't get here for 7, 10, 15 days. This is stuff from Amazon (not other resellers) and listed as Prime. Huh?

Whoever thought I would have to get in my car to buy stuff? Maybe I need to toughen up a little.

In 40 minutes my county goes into shelter until April 7th. We can only leave our homes to go to the hospital or the grocery store. My LFS closed early today so they could prep their own homes before I had a chance to go and get more mysis. All non-essential business are closed mandatory until April 7th and will most likely be increased longer. I’m really worried about what I’m going to do. I have enough frozen food for about a week and a half. Old pellets for maybe another week or two. My county has over 300 of the 400 cases currently in California.
I’m really feeling like an idiot for not taking this more seriously and stocking up on food and everything needed for all my animals.
Really stressed over here.
If you need some food, let me know, I have enough blister packs of hakari to last me a year.

My wife found an article about the Amazon shut down. If its in the warehouse now, then it will ship, but if they go out of stock, they are not getting any more until after all of this.

That being said, i just ordered 2 packs of the nori i use.

Updated …. Top 10 ...

1. Enough frozen food to last a year (I do this normally though)
2. Enough nori to last 6 months
3. Enough salt for WC for close to a year
4. Enough DI resin for 6 months
5. Trident reagents ….. around four months (though not an essential)
6. Enough Reborn/Soda Ash/Calcium Chloride for 18 months (though I buy in bulk anyhow)
7. Enough CO2 for 12-18 months
8. On a well, so water not a problem
9. Spare pumps and heaters (I do this normally though)

I just realized my bucket of salt was getting low, went to chewy and ordered a box and some treats for the dog. I was looking over the cat litter I prefer and noticed several of the arm and hammer litters were out of stock ;Meh.

At some point I have to hunt for cat litter and toilet paper.

Amazon has hired 100,000 temporary workers to handle surges in online orders.

They want to hire 100,000 workers. They definitely haven't done so yet. Currently they are a bit overwhelmed.
