At the point that fish is just feeding won't help. It will die it needs medical support
Yes that they can as Paul has proven. But the fish isn't healthy and food won't be enough. If it's just a few spot I would agree with you but that is an infestation. Plus with it as weak as it is the ich will be able to infest it more. From my experience with a fish in that state doing no medical treatment ends with death. And the BS herbal stuff doesn't work.

It doesn’t sound like he has another tank and his display is 26-gallons, so buying a new 10-gallon hospital tank and putting copper in there is even more likely to kill it.
Sixline doesn’t bother it all at. The sixline will sometimes chase the other wrasse and the rainfords goby but not to hurt, just to “get out of my way” sorta thing. I’ve just started some polyp labs medic and will see how I go.

The display tank is 25-gallons.....I am sorry and don't mean to be all doom and gloom but because of some factors I believe that if you do nothing and rely on Keeping a clip of Nori this fish will die. But I also think that if you take action you can definitely save him. This tank is new and not well established so you just don't have the microfauna to combat something like ICK. you really need to get a good QT set up which can be done economically. Then you need to treat with Copper per the below. But keep in mind that if you just pull this 1 fish and treat and then return him to the DT the ICK will still be there. You will need to remove all fish and let this tank go fallow for 45 days minimum. Please read all you can in the fish disease section of this forum there is tons of info there.
