I find it difficult to believe you did not know about Jebao powerheads before buying. It was well documented long before they were available to purchase in the USA about the similarities to the Tunze and Ecotech. But it is what it is, perhaps you didn't know. However to say that your "sickened" by the fact that you "have enabled the furtherance of Jebao's ability to do this" while still running them in your tank is a bit hypocritical wouldn't you say?

If we are going to use the definition of hypocrisy, then no I wouldn't call it hypocritical. Dramatic, yes, I would call it dramatic rather than hypocritical.

I wouldn't buy an iPhone period. I'm a tech guy and see what they have in them and how much they cost and Android surpasses them

Whether or not to enable perpetrators of intellectual property theft by purchasing a product known or suspected to have infringed IP rights is certainly a personal choice.

Does enabling a suspected criminal activity by purchasing said product also make the purchaser a criminal?

Probably not, but some people have a moral/ethical objection to it.
