I ordered my first online fish last week, a captive breed little blue hippo tang from algae barn. Well the ups man was supposed to be here by noon, but did not get here until 5 pm. When I opened the box the poor little guy was almost white, laying on his side in the bottom of the bag, not moving. I tapped on the bottom of the bag and he ever so slightly wiggled his tail. I said the heck with acclimation and cut the bag open and plopped him straight in the tank. Well he sank to the bottom where he wiggled around on his side until he got back into some rock work and disappeared never to be seen again, I thought for certain he was a goner. Well the next morning I woke up and to my surprise he was all colored up, out swimming around with my yellow, and eating like a pig!!! I couldn't believe the little guy made it. Such a cool fish with a great personality.

Picked up a gorgeous kole tang today, and a bluish green smooth acro. Hope to get some pics soon.

Always exciting to get new corals!

I try to go atleast once a week, depending on what kinda mood the wife's in!!!I just recently found a new store in the area, with more selection, which makes the urge difficult to resist!! Lol

One thing I wanted to note is that I started dosing phyto and zooplankton about a month and a half ago and man, the explosion of micro fauna in the system has been huge.i have all kinds of hitchhikers that have populated the tank. Stometella snails, pineapple sponges, amphipods , copepods , feather dusters, worms. Seems like im finding some new creature all the time.its really cool.

That reminds me that I need to do the same.

Added 4 half inch long burghia nudebranchs today to combat aphasia, keeping my fingers crossed!!

Peppermint Shrimp or AiptasiaX work for me

Just looking through my thread and realized its in bad need of an update. Ill try to get it updated soon.

Yes, but I'll say it's limited. I had a couple of Aiptasia in my tank and the Peppermint Shrimp got rid of them, but I've never had a major outbreak.
