Time to start thinking about some corals and clams [emoji16][emoji16]

I'm sure anyone with a Pistol Shrimp will recognise like this

I'm sure I secured my scape sufficiently, but still get nervous when I see everything completely dig out.

Almost where i want to be fish wise. Always wanted the fish before stocking up on coral.

The Randall Goby settled in nicely although I had hoped he would shack up with the High Fjn and pistol. Didn't take long for him to kick the high fin out!
Beautiful fish:

Also got 5 Lyretail Anthias from my LFS. Had my eye on these for 2 months, although the wife thinks they look like goldfish!!

Picked up a nice little unit form IKEA that's next to the tank. Will house a 25ltr ATO reserve, 4 X dosing containers as well as a DIY shelf for Neptune Apex and controllers.

While doing a water change yesterday I noticed that the DT is teaming with Rotifiers. Really surprised as I'd only added a few pouches to the refugium a few weeks ago.

This should keep the Anthias happy.

Will be adding as many varieties of copepods, amphipods etc over the next few weeks.

Been thinking about what corals and colours to start filling up with.
I'm definitely having plating monti at the foot of the drop off, really want that to grow out and up.

Colour wise I want to follow the colour principles outlined in the aquascaping advice thread.

Complementary secondary colours on the drop: purple, orange and green.
Yellow, red and blue on the upper section.

I'm thinking predominantly monti where possible. Really would like to get encrusting monti going over the branch. That could look pretty cool.

awesome tank - i have been inspired by yours and the plans are drawn and materials arriving soon. are you enjoying the lights?

Thanks [emoji1303]

If there's anything you want to know about the build just let me know.

I'm loving the Hydra 26HDs although I've not stocked up on SPS yet so can't comment from that perspective. I do know that I prefer them to the Gen 2 Radions I've used before.

Love the pod action, defo look for encrusting montis, the range of colours becoming available is amazing.
Looking good. :)

I was really surprised mate. You don't notice them in the DT when the pumps are on.

There are some crazy encrusting montis, if I can get those branch covered I'll be a happy man [emoji16]
