maybe try the sanding thing?

also was your dry side a new purchase from the store?

i just remembered my old mp10 dryside i had DIDN'T vibrate badly without a wetside, but was also like an engine with any wetside attached. it confused me so much as i thought the dryside was OK.

Yes was a new purchase from a store. It vibrates a little bit at max setting but not badly. I'll wait a bit for Ecotech to responds before I'm going to try the sanding.

It very well could be the dry side. The dry side is only under torque when the wet side is attached. If the bearing was going, it would allow the dry side shaft to rattle when coupled, and be silent with no wet side.

I would wait to see if you hear from ecotech first. I've found their CS to be top notch at getting back to emails and phone calls. Other, not so much.

if you're in the US, maybe.

I was essentially told to go f myself and buy a new one at first, and im in Canada...

Really curious how this turns out in the Netherlands.

Every ones experience is different. The couple times I called, I had no problem and the CS was very helpful.

Yes I'm in the US, and right next door in NY(they are in PA). Which could explain my experience.

yea in the end i was taken care of, but that took a few months.

I've tried realigning and inspected everything. The impeller is steady and not jumping up and down on the shaft. And the wetside is on the best position right now, not really vibrating sounds but a ticking sound (like a clock when speed up)

Wait I just read back........

The dry side is brand new, and the wet side is new? I'm a little confused here now. lol
Yes that's correct lol. When I bought the pump second hand the wet side part was new. The dry side was broken so I replaced that one with a new one aswell.

Here is a video of how the mp10 sounds now

Yeah thats not right. I can only hear mine when I'm right next to them, and above 80%. They have a slight "whirring" sound.

Did you buy the dry side directly from ecotech, or a third party reseller?

Third party, we don't have those privileges in Europe to buy directly from brands like ecotech

You might have to take it up with them. That dry side is not right.

Can you take it out of the tank, place them between a piece of thicker cardboard, then make another vid?

Will do now

oh yea i hear it.

the scraping sound i believe is from the wetside breaking in.

but it also sounds like vibration.

do you feel the vibration on the tank glass when it is running high power?
