Went to my LFS tonight for a browse and see they had a Jewel tang which you don't often see and they are going to hold it for me for those who don't know what they look like this is one.

Altered my sump round tonight I was getting fed up with cheato finding it's way into my pumps and skimmer and I wanted to move the skimmer close to the in.

This how it looks now.

I know some will say it's early to re-stock ect since velvet/whitespot but having read a lot on the net about people going 3 months for it to then return as soon as fish are introduced I decided I would add some fish and all has been well all fish have been QT'ed before going into my system as well as I added uv and also removed most of the substrate and cleaned it early on before going fallow.

My stock consists of.

Algae blenny
2 x true percula clowns
Yellow tang
Sailfin tang
Jewel tang
Yellow eye tang
Mandarin
Cleaner wrass
6 chromis
6 cleaner shrimp
1 fire shrimp
Bubble tip anenomie.

I make an effort to feed them well consisting of

PE mysis
Brinshrimp
Mussel
Grazer rings
Nori
Algae flake
Agis pellet

A few more edition's added today.

I said I would not have another but have added a powder blue hopefully I won't have the issue I had last time !!!

I have been seeing this guy in the tank at LFS for last 4 weeks and I he a nice clean fish with good appetite and I felt sorry for him just in that small display tank so offered him a home time will tell if I done the right thing but there has been no issues and he happily swimming about with the other fish.

Excuse the moody acan in picture I had to move it so it's not happy corals more temperamental then a woman haha

I have also upped the chromis from 6 to 12 so have a really nice shoal of them now and added 6 blue legged hermit crabs.

Well got up to fine the blue laying dead on the bottom of the tank [emoji50]

I have ran tests on my water

ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrates 5
SG 1.025
PH 8.3

I have not tested trace elements as that makes no odds in my opinion.

The new fish where added with drip method

All my SPS and anenomie is fine as well as all other stock even the others I added yesturday is fine. There was no signs of agression from any fish towards it so I will take the blue back with a sample of my water and hopefully they can sort something to say I'm gutted is an understatement

If I did not have bad luck I would have no luck at all

Just got back from the shop they tested my water and said ammonia present I said no chance as I'm sure my SPS and anenomie would soon let me know about that and I tested my water first thing this morning. They tested it again and all was fine.

They did not have another blue so got a Regal to replace it with.

I know there is 100% nothing wrong with my water quality as I keep ontop of it due to my corals which require better quality water then fish only would.

Here is some pictures of my encrusting montipora showing colour and growth so far lights are on way down so recent pic some polyps closed.

Not only has it changed colour it has grown well I think

Picked up a new hairy mushroom tonight.

Not really had any pictures of the new residents so here is a few pictures.

And a few pictures of some of the corals.

Tried to get a good picture of the Juwel Tang but he just don't keep still.

Picked up a fish another Powder Blue here is a few pictures he has settled in well they not the best pictures but gives you the idea it's one my regular LFS had

Hopefully this time all goes well he is very active and has mixed well been eating and pecking at rock ect.

Had a bit of a move round tonight to try make the sand bed look less cluttered and make space for more corals

Here is some pictures some the corals are moody but will get over it.

All acans are now together hoping for an island of them

Added a new frag tonight a forest fire not been in long when picture was taken

Some better shots of the tank after move round a few corals are still moody but they will sort themselves out

Done some work on the tank today I decided I wanted to change to fine sand so syphoned the old out except under the rocks and changed it over was a mission here it was earlier

How it's looking at the minute

By the morning should be gin clear again it looks much more natural in my opinion with fine sand hopefully all will be well

I like the new rock layout. Word of warning, the Kenyan tree will fragment in the tank and you'll be pulling bits off the rock work forever as it will come back from the base each time you remove it.
