I was looking back and my tank has been running around 7 months here is a picture of it right at the beginning....

Quite a bit of difference in 7 months and come a long way.

Also this weekend I've had a change of direction with stock as I managed to come across one of these

p-863995-black-tang_zpszknwmeve.jpg

A Black Tang that is being held for me until I can re-stock due to being fallow.

I have also decided to add another Juwel tang which I sadly lost with my powder blue in the latest whitespot outbreak :(

JewelTangAcanthurusguttatus_zpskkl2pmqw.jpg

And the last of the tangs I'm going for is a Gem tang

gem-tang-zebrasoma-gemmatum-1_zpsirv8k0n6.jpg

That will complete my tang stocking and it's a case then of filling the gaps inbetween and these have been suggested instead of chromis which I think I will go for amd have a small shoal

ventralis anthias

ventralis-anthias-img_3770-jpg-4005d1325129219_zpsbj1upma0.jpeg

So roll on Christmas when I can start getting fish back into the tank.

I'm going this time for the rarity of the fish instead of quantity and hoping to end up with a setup to be proud of :)

Cheers
Marty

Found a different setting on phone to take night pictures so thought it would be rude not to post some :)

The water is a bit cloudy due to the miliput and all are moody ill get some better pictures as those pictures are shocking once they have settled and polyped up :)

Nice;)

I have a few questions. When you went fishless, how long was it for exactly? During that time, did you add any new frags, snails or CUC? Also, what kind of sand did you add when you changed it?

It's still currently fallow and will be for another month making it 16 weeks it total.

I have added corals but they have all been dipped. Also a few inverts but going 16 weeks should mean any nasties being left is slim to none

The sand added is reef flowers fine sand

Oh, I thought I read you added more fish?

I would of liked to have a proper dosing container there but sadly one will not fit so have to make do with bottles but I've fitted a one way valve into the lid and there is also another up near the dosing head so removal of the lid when topping up will then not cause it to drain that section of tube.

Will have to see how much difference that now makes :)

As the fish have settled thought I would get a few better pictures :)
