Hey Tim,
I will have to growout a piece in the "Lowboy Lagoon", plenty of space. That way you can get this beauty yourself! Anytime you're close, you're welcome to stop by and see things in person, it would be my pleasure!
Thanks Perry it would be great to stop by sometime!

It's a prop tank, but still, it needs to look aestecitally pleasing, lol...
Having a remote area to study corals is insane, I absolutely love spending time in the reef room. Still have more work to do, already planning another lowboy. I would also like to start a large remote cryptic fuge. All of this is possible as space and demand presents...

That's awesome Perry! How are you liking the IM tank now that you've had it for a bit? I was thinking of getting their 75 gallon INT just wish it was euro-braced!

Hey Tim,
Love the tank, stand makes me nervous, seems like the bottom needs more reinforcement. I just take things easy when doing maintenance and keep it top of mind, so not an issue. I love the tank itself though, built super strong, well built!!!
I am now weary of any non braced rimless style tank "NOT" using armored seals, or just a layer between seams. Especially anything talker than 24" and linger than 36". I also like to brush my glass frequently, so euro bracing makes that much less messy.
My take, so take with a grain of salt my friend :)

Interesting I totally agree. So are you saying the feet make it "wobbly"? I probably just need to bite the bullet and go full custom lol.

I freaking love the dimensions of that tank- thanks for the updates and videos because this tank is seriously underrated and hardly anyone has it. I have the 50 AIO version and can't wait until I outgrow it; I know exactly what I'm getting lol.

I would say that more attention to the bottom bracing would instill more confidence. It's not going anywhere, but I feel like a wooden stand would be more stable, but maybe if weight of sump and water were beneath, that might gel0 rmti stabilize, my sump is remote, so the stand is empty, lol...

Thank you for the kind words!
Everyone who sees this tank in person is taken back by the footprint, it's perfect for a drop off, shallow reef, or centered single bommie, lots of options, I like the drop off for 3D look. The tank is beautiful, you will not be disappointed!

Perry, did IM do the eurobrace on the 112g?

Hello,
Yes, the 112g, which is the tank I have does have 4 euro-braced panels. The tanks in lower volume than this are rimless, I believe... :)

Wow Perry! I missed the past month or so of updates, but things are looking great! Love your systems and methodology with reefkeeping. I also just set up a Low Boy growout tank to create more space for the acros because I'm running out of room everywhere else :flushed-face:. Great to see the tank thriving!

Thank you so much!
Things are starting to really take off, ph is improving, and colors are becoming more vivid.
Phosphate is finally holding(0.05-0.09), nitrates 5ppm.
I am still working on improving my reef room, find myself spending alot more time in there. I scored my late dad's reading chair, nostalgic and functional ;)

WOW Perry INSANEEEE. I can barely crack 8.0 wow

This has been a process!
The prop tank is on a staggered schedule, and after 1.85 gallons a day of fully saturated kalkwasser, I add 10ml of esv 2 part. I add it at my lowest PH point, 6am, a one shot dose.
This usually takes high ish 8.0, and pushes to 8.1. After that, it kick starts the day, and seeing 8.2 before actinics(9am) go on the display. At 2-3pm, it's around 8.4 and stays there until 1 hour after actinic, (9pm).
I feel like I have found the ph pocket :) The ato still runs,(.5 gallon day)so I could actually bump kalkwasser, but this gives me wiggle room to run this way in the winter, when windows open, fans off, a true evaporation, not artificially boosted to add more kalk.

You trully have cracked it brother!! Hey that tank is looking sexier by the day . In no time you can start selling frags online lol. As far as kalk, im only able to dose 150 ml of fully sat kalk from 10pm to 1pm . That is the highest i can got atm without messing with my alk to much. Ph is 7.9 at night and about 8.0 maybe 8.1 during photo period.

Thank you Jorge!
I haven't "cracked the code", but I want to point out that observation is important as it relates to reefing!
Trying to optimize the system, with tools already in place and available, just minor tweaking and walla ;)
Working on P04 stability, and on course to optimizing it over a 24 hour period with maybe a .01-.03 differential. This observation and test is really mind numbing... I feed my fish so heavy, that no way I would bottom out, guess what?
More to come... :)

Man, I wish I could get my ph to 8.4. It's so incredibly difficult for me to get even to 8.1 on my system.

I hear you, but would offer that there could be .1 here, or .1 there, where you could increase. I recall Chris Meckley, on ReefBum, recently discussing silent systems, and how the lack of water crashing, gurgling, or cascading, is a simple miss. I couldn't agree more, when said and done, my anecdotal observation is a .1 bump. I simply cut my returns so that there was a gap between the return pipes, and water surface in sump, despite using a filter sock. Luckily for me, my sump is in a separate room, remote...
Kalkwasser, need I say more, at least a .1-.2 bump. Airline intake to an oversized skimmer, maybe .05-.1 bump. Crack a window nearby, another bump. I think you get the idea, there are many ways to get there, and your corals will noticeably thank you :)
Cheers, have a great weekend :)
