Put my hand in her favorite spot she swam around me doing the tail flap motion but not actually hitting me. She tried approaching the little guy and the hermits little guy swam toward her and confronted her before she got close to the hermits and the cave. Its fun observing them :D

Haha very truee! So should I do anything about it? Or just let her be the bossy woman she is? And stop feeding them selecon she hates it a lot.

Just like with humans, it is probably best just to let her be. The male will either stop doing whatever is making her mad or she will kill him. Just like with humans. ;)

So keep feeding selecon? the only reason I got it was because I thought they had fin rot.

Okay sweet thanks again...and one last question I am asking too much sorry :/ But should I be worried about adding another fish in the future?

Because of aggression from the maroon clowns? It's always a possibility with them. I got lucky with my last pair. They only attacked me, but left all my other fish alone. :)

Now reading up on maroon clowns I might want to return them but I would feel bad doing that.

They're beautiful but can be aggressive and an overall PITA fish.

They are just being Clowns. No reason to take them back. Did you buy them as a mated pair or are they just two immature males? I had a question about your temps. At the start of this thread, you said your temps vary quite a bit. Do you have a heater in there to maintain the temp at 78 degrees? Also, what foods are you feeding the little monsters?

PITA fish?? Not sure what that is? They were in the same tank when I bought them they seem pretty immature and yes I have heater in there its been pretty constant recently. I feed them Hikari slow sinking pellets, Omega flakes and brine shrimp sometimes.

To confirm what others have said, that looks like nipping from an aggressive tankmate, not fin rot.

Maroon clowns do have a rep for being bossy, and I can confirm that from my own experience (mine bites/head-butts me very hard if I get near her anemone).

How do you know the sexes of your clowns? Are you certain you don't have two females?

I am not sure their sex. I just assumed they were both immature males. And the smaller one is super small and I don't think he has any chance of being a female. Is there a way to tell? My main fear is just the larger one being bossy to other fish that I decide to add in the future. I mean if he/she is being bossy to hermits...then imagine fish. Also her "territory" is one half of the tank. The only time she lets the smaller one come near is at night.

That's good. It sounds like they are getting a varied diet which is important. Might want to try some frozen mysis shrimp some time as well. If they are in fact two immature males it may take some time for the one to claim total dominance over the other. But don't get too shook up about it as it's a very natural progression for Clowns.

PITA fish??

My last pair... The female would stir up the sand all the time with her tail, knock over coral frags, bite my hand, stuff like that. All clowns sorta do this (after all they are from the damsel family), but for some reason with any red clownfish the bad behavior is magnified. ;)

Yep she does that she kicks up the sad with her tail...I am feeling some biting my hand in the future. I read the sand stirring is just to make the tank the way they like it.
