You can watch this to see if you got it, or any missing parts.

I did watch this a couple times and everything seems good.
I'll try and raise the skimmer so the waterline drops. Watching a few YouTube videos and I noticed the waterline seems fairly low compared to mine.
Tyvm all, I really hope I get this as its doing my brain in.

when you convert the cm to inches, the manual aprox water line height is bout 8.75".

I have the nyos 120 running on both of my tanks, it works great. On one tank the skimmer is sitting in a water level about 7 inches and the other tank is almost 8 inches.

Does your skimmer release micro bubbles under the Water Level Tube?

Have you been putty'n new corals? The coral putty will make a skimmer overflow like nuts but I don't know if the micro bubble would be coming out the sides of the skimmer?

Im still cycling the tank. It's been cycling for at least 6 weeks. I did use about 2 tubes of putty to attach my dryrock to the back of my wall. No water changes since starting the cycle, just top off Di water when needed.

I have minimal bubbles leaving the skimmer. Inside the skimmer all of the bubbles are above the plate that sits on the pump.

Tyvm.
I'll run to the hardware store tomorrow and raise the skimmer 1.25". Just measured and my waterline is just under 10". If this doesn't solve the issue, im officially stuck and don't know what to do next.

I had the same thing happen with a curve 7 skimmer, bubbles for weeks and drove me crazy. Put some carbon in a bag and BOOM, ran smooth as silk. Perhaps a lil bag of carbon to help polish some of the crap from the putty would suffice?

I'm not saying they won't have to replace your skimmer and I can understand your frustration.
Three things to consider;
1) After 6 weeks it should be cycled and ready for a nice water change.
2) At times a new setup can make a skimmer almost impossible to dial in because there's not enough organic build up in the water yet.
3) If you didn't do it when you first got it: A vinegar bath can greatly speed up the break in time of a new skimmer.

That 10" could be the real prob. going by that manual! Says 8.75" water line.

Sorry for the quick sidetrack but how does the one in your 7" depth work? I was thinking about getting one of these but skimmer chamber level is only 7 inches. I see it says 8-10" so that's what's holding me back.

I have the Nyos 120, turn the valve towards open so it is all the way open. The bubbles should go down considerably and then continue closing slowly with a few hour gap till you get what you want. The first few days though you will get over skim till it dials in and gets a little film.

Did you see the date of his first post. (It's going into it's eleventh day).

Found four 3/4" pvc elbows. Skimmer waterline is now about 8.5-8.75". Water tube is 100% open, I'll leave it like this till morning (currently see no visual difference).
Will try adding carbon in the morning if no difference through the night.
Tyvm for the help guys!!

It's been working great at that height, with the amount of adjustments on the skimmer you fine tune it to your exact setup. I have it running on a 70 gallon.

If he still has that putty residue in the water column and it's cycled, a water change would help too.

OK you have a new skimmer on a newly set up tank that you used 2 tubes of putty to do rock work and you are wondering why the skimmer is going nuts. First get some Carbon running to help with the Putty, leave the cup off the skimmer and let it run with the output wide open and one day it will just slowly retreat and the water will be at about 1/2 way in your skimmer body and a thicker foam will start. This is when you can start playing with the settings, until then your are just setting your self up for frustration. Some Skimmers can take quite sometime to break in my Omega 150 was like that almost 4 weeks until it settled down. The Wine Bottle shape makes it harder as the bubbles can move very freely up the body. So bottom line is let it RUN and do its thing and it will mellow out.
