Powder blue in 90 gallon?

Damsel’s can be aggressive sometimes. I have 4 Kupang damsels and I hey are not aggressive towards other fish but sometimes get aggressive with each other. But they are not like trying to kill each other just showing dominance

I completely agree. Mine is in a 200 with a purple she can be pretty cranky but very active as you. The bigger the better for them.

Hello, Reef Devils. I have a 90 gal. and one powder blue 4" and a sailfin tang slightly larger. Powder Blue is aggressive and chases the sailfin non -stop.They've both grown about an inch since I bought them and the powder blue was not aggressive when they were smaller. He only chases the sailfin and rarely inflicts injury to the the sailfin. I've tried putting up pictures of various saifins on the glass to calm him down and it has worked temporarily. Don't know if the tank is now too small or just a mean fish like my tomato clown.

Good to know. I have heard from lots of other people that powder blue can get aggressive. I am thinking of getting a hippo blue instead of powder. Just don’t want a lot of aggression. Thanks for the help

Not doubting your experience, but I’ve had mine for 6 months and it has grown, but not that much. Mine was the third tang in a 90 gallon. Previous was a yellow and a blue eye bristle tooth. It was about 3 inches when I got it and is now about 4.

Depends on diet , space and at times origin it came from. Rarely is there a specific rate of growth with any given fish other than an estimate

I had an established yellow and bristle tooth, and got the powder blue small and added last. He was feisty from day 1. Bristletooth hated him the most - gave him a couple good cuts. Things have settled down, though there is occasional fin flaring and saber rattling. Things may change when he gets bigger, but so far so good - no pacing and not too much aggression. Acts like a “normal fish.”

I do have a lot of hiding places, which I think helps. A lot of people would say tank is too small, but it’s been doing great and started eating from day 1. Good luck!
