Oh I thought you meant the hippo blue gets about 5” in captivity

Yes hippo, 5" average up to 6.5"
Awesome. That size should hopefully work in my tank. Thanks for the help vetteguy. You are always answering my questions and I appreciate it. You are always able to give me the best and most clear answer. I am new to the hobby and just learning. Thanks again.

Known nasty:
Powder blue
Sohal
clown Tang

Yes I have seen that happen in the fish store and they have to pull them out. Do you think my scape is fine for this fish?
I think so! You will just have to see if your guy tries any of the cracks!

Well shes lucky shes a pretty fish, willing to put up with an attitude as long as she doesnt murder anyone!

does she cause problem with other fish at all or bug corals?
She bugs a lot of the fish and ticks my goni corals off with her zooming them. Her main issue is with my purple who is bigger than her so they clash a little cause Flo (the powder blue) tries to dominate Mad Max (the purple) and take all the food and Mad Max isnt having any of that so she bugs and pushes Chip (my baby yellow from biota) around and is rude to him.

She sure does sound like an aggressive one

Yeah and shes only 3 inches… Shes good with new editions surprisingly. I moved my regal angel to the tank, who hid in her cave. She was super angry at that and I had to chase her off with a feeding stick to get her to leave the regal alone. After about 2-3 hours she was over it and the Regal is now very active in the tank and they have no issues. I did a lot of research with their aggression so I was prepared, she was supposed to be the last fish I added. But I had an electrical issue that killed all my other fish (still heartbroken by that) while she was in QT so that threw a monkey wrench in that so I have to work stocking around her now

This is a video of a full grown hippo in a 90 gallon. Very miserable looking fish, wouldn't put one in a tank that size if they paid me to do it.

that one looks to be a foot. He he frowns past 7 inches I am moving him to a bigger home. But vetteguy said in captivity they usually stay about 6 inches

Sorry to hear about the electrical problems I almost lost all my fish in a power outage. Scares me to death when that happens. These fish are like my children and you want to do everything you can to keep them alive.
