sucks but everyone is going to be raising prices. There are cars sitting that can’t get chips - if a 40k car can’t get a chip to be sold then I imagine eco tech and everyone is having a hard time.

I bet you in a few months you’ll see increases across the board.

Cant keep printing money and keep making Trillion dollar agreements and not expect it to effect the price of products or value of our dollar.

Just got a quote from Carmax. 6k higher than I owe on my wife’s car! And am in the process of dumping any money I have left(that’s not designated for reef aquarium research and development) into a property.

Car insurance will skyrocket. My friend just had his 2019 F150 totaled and they gave him 4.5k more than he paid. They had to total it after they couldn't get a bed for it, they supposedly couldn't even find one in a junkyard.

Yep prices for new stuff is crazy...Ecotech and Kessil.too. Glad I got 4 Gen5xr30 two months ago. I was after 2 new mp40s and I see they are 400.00 each and 88.00 for a additional wet side. SOo 488.00 a set.
They guy I just got a 3" purple tank for 200.00 is tearing his tank down cause he has to move and getting rid of the tank no room in the new house .
He sold me two mp40's wit two additional wet sides he only used them for about a month or so...$600.00 cash....
I need to find more deals like this....

Also curious about sulfer denitrators. Almost jumped at the MD offer because of earlier post, but essentially think i can just use the reactor chamber I have but swap in sulfer instead of GFO or carbon or...

Watching post to see if anyone speaks up about sulfer (or I can just search......lol)

no from what I found out the water travels super super slow through the sulfur denitators and comes out like a drip per second or how every you adjust it. It is not made for fast pass through so it is build differently then a normal reactor...Marione depot has some on sale with pumps... I was gonna get one but changed my mind..gonna just build a big refug on the 300...

They are effectively shaking the Dollar and unfortunately it’s going to go away because of this.

Did vortechs go up too? Just my opinion but those lights arent worth that price tag. Id go CC or Straton if i was dropping that type of money...

Don't business owners know if prices go up more they will be out of business they have to cut there profit and stay afloat till inflation goes away middle of next year I hear.people will shop for cheaper products and get cheaper products because of economy And there situation on there jobs.

really wow...but they did make them better from what I researched...so a price increase is understandable...but this recent one has no merit to do so....My thought is cause now there is one less bigger competitor out there after July 31st

Marine Depot was bought by BRS they take over July 31st...

Yep just looked. I been comparing the old Marine depot prices to the new BRS prices and vortechs went up M@ was 324 now 413, L2 was 474 now 523. Battery back ups were 173 now 190....

amazon is even higher on some of the stuff. I just googled ecotech lights seems everyone i saw selling them have the new higer price....

Imho they raise prices because they can. Sure, they may have some extra expenses due to Covid, but it's not like these things were cheap to begin with. Most equipment in this hobby has very high markup - especially from these "premium" brands. Supply and demand.
