Uggh I ordered a XL425 a week ago. Not happy to read this thread. Glad it worked out in the end but what a headache.
Hopefully soon. Already started building a stand for my new one since I’m getting away from Red Sea tanks and going back to a custom built tankLittle bit of an update:
Still no tank, it’s here at the distributors , but they won’t let me pick it up since they don’t deal with the public.... all the emails with Red Sea, and my LFS and distributor, have agreed for me to directly pick it up.
What does this mean? Well I’m gunna have 2 tanks for sale pretty quick soon as I get my hands on it.

Old thread but...
Did it happen?
Yes it happened and I sold both.

Red Sea should know not to do business like that!Hey every one, as most of you know I purchased a Red Sea 425xl back in August, and set it up beginning of September. Well, over the last few weeks the end panel has been pushed out, stretching the silicone quite a bit. Enough to raise a concern.
I contacted Red Sea with no avail, then posted in the Red Sea Facebook group, just to have my post removed.
What should I do?

He’s posting apart of the story trying to make me look bad. I fully disclosed the tank and its info when selling it. He made the choice to buy it KNOWING the issuesHope it’s just a miscommunication
I've read a couple of horror stories about their stands recently.Should have gotten a waterbox.
