Reef Radiance led light..OMG..What a light....

Ordered two dm155e about 3 weeks ago. Should be here any day now. Wish it'd get here sooner but if they're top notch then it's well worth the wait.

WOW! This has been quite the interesting thread to read through. Having been a Moderator on Forums for some time now, have to give my 'Thumbs UP' on the way all have behaved and mostly stayed on topic.....

Being an 'Old Salt' and an avid DIY-er who was on the forefront in the hobby to build a broad-spectrum (mixed chip) light fixture for a Reeftank long before any of the commercial units ventured in. I'd like to give a 'Kudos' to Rick at Reef Radiance for handling himself very respectfully throughout this thread, keeping information positive, friendly and easy to understand. Reef Radiance for there part in creating an affordable, quality, full-spectrum LED light fixture series. When in the market for another light on next Reeftank build they surely will get my business as well. If anyone in the Greater Seattle area has one and would like share, I'd like to come check one out in person.

Cheers, Todd

Forgot to mention that I went through their website A-Z and found it to be extremely well done, informative and easy to navigate.

Yup ..Eventhough I haven't received my lights yet but CS is 5 stars. I emailed them and only a few ticks later they answered back. From the pics on their site the lights seem very well built and sleek. Will definitely upgrade with them when the time comes. KUTGW, Guys!

Right now I'm a little mixed! I'm super excited to get the lights in but I placed the order almost 4 weeks ago. I emailed rick about it and didn't get a response so I emailed Tara and she responded pretty quickly. She told me that the lights will probably get in to their place this week sometime which would mean that I hopefully get my lights next week which would put them at 5 weeks. There goes the 1-3weeks for shipping. I was hopeful that I wouldn't have to wait that long because of some of the stories I heard of people receiving them in only a few days. Still excited to get them but wish I didn't have to wait this long!

Don't worry . well worth the wait . got mine last week and looks great .It took about 4 weeks for mine to show up This week I ordered a Lumentek 240 for my 65gal .

Hi Guys,

I read all the posts and wanted to firstly say HI ........ When you order a light on a forum sale - like most of you did - then the 1 - 3 week period starts when the forum ends and if it is extended - which many are - the delivery time starts then. We list this in big letters on each forum page so there is no confusion on delivery dates. LOL - so much for great ideas.... We do this - as many times - we end a forum - and then get dozens of emails asking us to extend it as the senders were out of town - in a canyon - under a bush- where there is no internet service............... okay I made that up. But we do get lots of requests on every single forum - to extend - and so we usually do. We generally order all the products for a forum sale the day after it ends - as we can then give the factory an accurate number - and order as large a quantity as possible in order to get the best price to offer the great prices we do on the forum sales. The upshot is - many times a customer places an order on a certain day and the forum will not end for another week or so - and we starting the clock then. It is the nature of the forum sale beast and enables us to keep giving the amazing prices we offer. That said - on occasion we have gone past the 1- 3 week posted date - and - while this is rare - it does happen and please know that we agonize over every single one of these items and push our factories as hard as we can to stay within our time frame. I should say - not to shift responsibility - as I am ultimately responsible for everything with respect to Reef Radiance - the few times we strayed outside this delivery window - a factory or factories could not keep up with the volume of product we ordered - and so ran a little late in delivery to us.

So.....Jmeza ..... UPS is giving us this Friday as the date we will see your DM-155e lights - DrewBrees713 - love your commercials........your DM-155e lights are on the same shipment - and Jgomez324 hang in there - you are gonna love your DM-132e and your wavemaker. The shipment that UPS says we will have in our hot little hands this Friday will go through our 23 point inspection - as all lights do - and will ship out Monday with a fedex tracking number to you. Jmeza - I got your email and forwarded it to Tara - she now handles all the product status inquiries - and she got right back to you like we always do.

Sooooooo.......while there will be a few deliveries that go beyond our best estimate - know that we truly are focused on keeping within this time frame. I hate waiting for new toys so I really get how much it sucks and will never stop caring and working toward even faster delivery.....

Rick

Rick, thank you very much for that information! Patients is not one of my virtues! Can't wait to get the lights! Appreciate the hard work!

Just wondering, has anyone tested the par on the dm-155's? I have a 125 gallon with mostly softies and a two lps near the sand, I was just wondering what percentage you guys recommend me keeping the dials at

I thought I read that Rick was going to test the par and post it but I don't know if he did or not.

I guess I am gonna have to have one of these lights by all the awesome fead back now which one hmmmmm.
