Sorry I've taken so long to respond. I got my five nems in a few weeks ago. I've posted the pictures from the vendor here but I'll take some from the tank soon. They showed up exactly as I'd hoped. I didn't know about this acclimation method of putting them on styrofoan and letting them drain their old water - I just drip acclimated them and they did fine. I got two large ones (1.5-2") and three medium ones (1"-1.5"). Because they were inexpensive I expected them to be smaller or the coloring not to be true to the pictures. I was very pleasantly surprised. I put them on the sand bed so that they would be front and center but they popped up and floated around and found their own spots. Unfortunately most went up against rock structures so they are all sort of folded in half and aren't as easy to see them fully opened as I'd like but they are still incredibly beautiful and they eat very well.
I was cleaning the tank yesterday and picked up a rock that one was attached to. When I did that I saw his foot was attached to the underside of the rock and now I couldn't put the rock back because it would crush him and I have a favia on the top. So i propped the rock up so that he was underneath - overnight he moved all the way around to the other side of the rock and is attached happily there.
I'm thinking about adding a porcelain crab in there with them this week. I'm curious if anyone has had one and if they're a danger to my fish?
How are yours DiverGirl? Is the baby still alive?
