No pictures update. My mh fixtures have been up since Sunday. I am using 2 36'' aqua medic fixtures, each containing 2x250de hqi mh and 2xt5's for supplementation. Wow, I can finally see colors. My LEDs were fine, but being color blind and looking at coral using LEDs was a struggle for me. So now I have 4x250 mh and 4xt5's running. The bulbs are used and require changing, but I'm going to allow these used lights to acclimate the DT, then go to new bulbs.
For some time now, I've battled a unknown reason my corals don't flourish. So I've taken or sold/removed everything I've done in the past year (equipment) and went back to what use to work. MH, big skimmer running wet, high Alk (11), and feeding my tangs and angel to where they're happy.
I quit pulling substrate as i never noticed a difference in my corals and no matter how many WCs I did while doing this, no positive response from my coral. My refugium is barely growing anything, but it's there as a food source mainly. All I intend to do within the next month is buy new bulbs and add some carbon. Other than that, sit and watch my system (which is harder than it's ever been because I don't except failure well,lol). Thanks for reading.

How big is it now?
It was around 4" when you first picked it up right?
I have a 1" Regal that would look really good with it's mama
He or she (I wish I knew the sex for pairing purposes, lol) is about 5 1/2 inches and is second in command of my 240 (by black tang rules, but my regal angel and my vlamingi are at constant squabbles for runner up). Just for curiosity, please pm me on the juvenile's price please. Btw, how well would a juvenile do with my big regal?

Now it is around 2" love how it eats pellets, it's very fat.

Depending on sex, if opposites they'll get along, 2 males tend to fight.
2 Females, is a hit and miss for scuffles. Probably fighting for dominance.

Like I needed more fish!!! My friend broke down his 220+ system prior to a house move and i ended up with his big boys, a blonde naso, a one spot foxface, and a blue jaw trigger!! I'm such a sucker for great fish, plus I'm not seeing these guys go into a 55g just because I need coral! Just when I thought I was sticking to coral. Ended up with some nice sps colonies and some darn good equipment too, especially a refractometer (something I've always never had. Yep still rocking a hydrometer).
Everything seems to be loving the LEDs to mh switch. Waiting on new bulbs to post pics, so hold your horses!! Lol
