Seriously. Need help from going off the ledge.

How long is it typically with ick? I am really having a hard time thinking a fish woukd show ick spots within 30 minutes of hitting the water.

Did you only treat with copper?
Could you possibly have had Brook? Along with your ich issue?

I dont think so. Is it possible it could be slimecoat and irriatiom from netting and being moved? Lights are out so I guess will find out more tomorrow. Maybe it got hit by a coral or bristleworm diving into the rocks.

Just brainstorming...

So my treatment was: Prazi 1 dose for 5 days followed by 30 days of Coppersafe and topped off with 10 days of Kanaplex. Literally everyone was perfect until I was able to see them under the display tank led's.

I think you are right. Ich/velvet would most likely take a couple days to show up. There would typically be a distinct difference in coral/bristle (hypermelinization) wounds compared to parasite infestation.

I do remember seeing a clown on your list. Brook is a possibility, and given that you didn't treat with metro, it could be what your dealing with. I'm not saying it is in fact, just possible.
I am not sure if copper could supress symptoms of Brook (I know it won't treat it). Then it came roaring back.

If they have spots tomorrow at lights on post some pics. There are so many people here that are great with diagnosis.

I have a skunk clown that I think he is 12 years old. Survived Hurricane Sandy without power for two weeks but ended up losing half its tail to finrot. Will see how everyone looks with the lights on and rry and get some pics.

The kole tang has a new spot on the opposite dorsal fin all the way at rhe edge. Tough to tell. The clownfish is doing the yawning and swimming in front of the powerhead and then back to the anemone. No spots on the clownfish. If i have to break this tank down again I am seriously done. Not going through this again. Anyone in NJ are want a free reefer XXL 750 lol.

That sounds like velvet symptoms.
Try to get some pics.

Got a photo of the clown. Nothing on the fish except for two darker blotches. Working on the kole tang.

No changes better or worse. Everyone is eating which is good.

If that is all you are seeing I wouldn't panic. Keep an eye on them. If the spot goes away in the next 24-48 hours and you don't see any new spots it is probably not parasites.

On the clownfish can thise be fluke spots?

I've loaded absolutely mountains of wild coral colonies, maricultured and aquacultured frags, and softies, from many sources, into my DT over the last 1.5 years, which contains 22 assorted fish from blennies to wrasses. I give each coral a 2 minute dip in CoralRx for softies and lps, and in Bayer for sps. Otherwise no coral QT. I've not seen a single fish illness during this time. I think the probability of transmission of fish diseases this way is remote. I've also had no coral illnesses or predators, although the risk here of not doing QT is admittedly higher. I have seen nuisance algae pop up, presumably from spores, after just a coral dip.

OP, I think your fish may well have brought whatever this is over from the QT, as the sequence of events you describe strongly suggests. Crypto and velvet shouldn't have survived that copper. I thought I knew what brook is supposed to look like but it sounds like it's more variable than I thought.

I'm soon going to purchase a harem of clowns; I think I will have to question the supplier closely on this.

And here is the million dollar question. Would you order second set of fish for the QT tank haha. Next round was going to be the following:

Exquisite Wrasee
3 Dispars
Kamohara Blenny

More spots on the Kole Tang's fin. This is ick again isnt it?

It’s so difficult to tell but it looks too large for velvet and perhaps too large for ich. I’m leaning lymph but if it goes away in 3-6 days or so it’s not lymph. Or if the spots move.

Its probablly down to lympho or ick then I guess? This is the only fosh woth spots but my cloqn is still randomly swimming in front of a powerhead. Noticed some yawning also.

Clowns behave strangely, I need to see a video of that to advise
