Seriously. Need help from going off the ledge.

I imagine if you have copper in your QT those suckers aren't 'flying' anywhere, and the risk is only pre-treatment when the spores are at full strength?

Correct, once copper is therapeutic its not as much of a concern.

But what about someone that clears out their DT to go fallow because of an infestation? If QT is within 10' and after 30 day copper treatment is up, it is possible that dinospores are being released/living in the DT. Then could be transferred back to QT at that point.

Yikes could you imagine, this hobby is not for the faint hearted! Looks like we all need 2 fish rooms in the house :)

I might even get a hazmat suit for entering the QT room :)

So everything appears to be the same. The tang is still getting these spots on the fin. At this point it has to be sand. Any parasite wouldnt follow this on and off same type pattern. My clownfish though is still doing a lot of yawning. Its also spending a lot of time at the cleaner shrimp. Havent seen any flashing which is good. On a side note found out that I have monti eating nudis in my tank. Not really happy about it. I am assuming they have always been there and my fish must have kept the population low. When they were all in QT they got a bit out of hand.

Does anyone think this can be related to the copper overdose?

I’ve seen tangs sometimes develop these white bumps/growths following copper exposure. I call it the “mystery disease”, but a delayed reaction to copper poisoning is a more plausible explanation. Like an adverse skin reaction to the copper.

The only other thing I can think is sometype of worm fluke like creature. Was thinking about possibly using Dr G's Prazi food to see if it does anything. Especially since my clown is doing the yawning thing maybe a fluke/worm possibility. Or maybe still recovering from the copper overdose.

If it is something worm-like, a 5 min FW dip should dislodge at least some of them: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/freshwater-dip.248898/

Only issue is catching the fish. It will be almost impossible without ripping out half the tank. I guess I can always dose prazi in the display but dont really want to go that route. Was thinking the food may be the less of the two eveils and if I see a small response go ahead and dose the prazi. What do you think?

Food soaking prazi only really helps with tapeworms (internal parasite).

This is the new spot today. This one is actually on the body. Looks almost circular.

Do you think its worth while doing a round in the display? Really concerned about safety with clams etc.

The clownfish is also constantly at the cleaner shrimp trying to get cleaned which is not normal for it.

If you use Seachem Focus, it will bind the medication to the food and prevent leaching.

I ended dosing prazi last night. Everything did okay except for my anemone which decided to move. The clownfish, today, has about a dozen of these strings hanging off of it. Any idea what it is?

It should be fairly easy to tell if it’s sand. Sand will fall off. Try to net the fish

It doesnt just fall off right away. Can see spots in the morning and gone by the evening. It doesnt look like sand to me but doesnt fit ick or any other parasite I am aware off.

Yeah but m just saying sand should be easy to rule in or out

So today the wrasse, tang, and assessor are all flashing. Although not folloqing typical pattern of ick this has to be it again. So the copper therapy I gues failed to kill it. Is that even possible. I am foing to pulling out all the fish once again and going fallow again for 76 days. What shoukd I treat the fish with? 30 days coppersafe followed by 30 days Hypo? Hypo and copper together?

I would still revert back to those corals you added... Your copper treatment may have been successful and you cross contaminated between QT and DT once copper was removed. Or you have encountered one heck of a copper resistant strain. If I remember back you didn't notice till they hit the display but it was right away... You could go the route of CP, if you are convinced that copper didn't do it. Just kicking around ideas my friend.
