I read multiple reviews stating that the readings are more accurate without the spoon. Probably that is why it is left out now.
Seems to be an accurate tester.

Funny, I have an inbound order from them too. I nearly bought one of those, but I already have the digital refractometer from Milwaukee, and while it's "good enough" I still double check with the regular refractometer. I think the Milwaukee has the same +/- degree of error as that icecap one. I do like the small size of that icecap one though.
I'm surprised they don't send the little "spoon" with it anymore?
What a luck it was only the connector and you were there in time.Tank update:
Been busy the last week to post updates. But here’s one: I came back home past midnight on Monday night (10 Jul 0100H) to see that my tank had stopped running. [emoji46]
Turns out that the adapters I had used to plug for power from had burnt through, and as all my devices were connected to one single power socket, there was no electrical supply to the tank.

I found out through one of the timer switches that the power supply had stopped since 2100H, which meant a blackout period of about 4H. This was luckily a fortunate incident as it happened at night when the weather was not so hot here, and that not too long a time lapsed before I noticed the impending catastrophe. After I restored power to the tank, the temp was 27.2°c and I was lucky that no major coral or fish died (less one Sps that STN-ed) the next day.
This was a wake up call for proper electrical management and contingencies against all the valuable livestock we have. Hope no reefers follow my same foolish footsteps. [emoji846]
Wow. That fuse sure did a whole lot of good.
Similar incident here yesterday. I was leaving the house around 9:30a Saturday to head to Singapore for the night and as I walked out the door I got an alert from my ato pump. Opened the sump doors and the sump was way overfilled. Then I couldn’t connect to the apex and was worried about the skimmer overflowing. Long story short I couldn’t figure out what was wrong with my apex and just left for the airport hoping it’d survive the night. Came back today and it’s fine, but it seems the pump for my carx is dead, which I noticed after the alk level in the tank has been slowly dropping.

This is a 13Amps fuse so you would be good for a little over 2800 watts of power if all devices are connected to this one socket.
I have all devices over 2 sockets just to make sure it never reaches anything near the max power of the sockets or plugs.

GHL powerbars show current for each socket. It’s a great tool, although I wish they’d create a good 220v EPB that shows current. I have had an Apex for many years. They are great, just don’t put all of your eggs into the Apex basket![]()
Love it!Here's the delivery of my cabinet to my place!

They had to remove my door handle n shoe cabinet doors for it to fit through my main entrance. [emoji28] the width of the cabinet is 34"
Here's a picture after it came through! The tank will be situated in my balcony!

I know but I’m not ready to dump my apex for the ghl. Too much time and $$ invested into it. I may have gotten a GHL had I of known better, but I honestly think they’re pretty similar at the end of the day. Fusion on the apex is pretty nice, but ghl is catching up in that department too.GHL powerbars show current for each socket.
