Some aussie stuff

I have a separate tank ready for them and do not dip until they have healed a bit. Sometimes, this is a few months. In their own tank, I can wait. Then, I use Bayer since it is so gentle even on the deepwaters. Most of the time, I can get the acro crabs out of a weak first dip and they survive if I am fast. I have always felt that a dip after coming all that way in a box is no bueno, but I guess that you have no choice if they are going into an integrated system. I also found that they do best under very strong MH for a while... after all, they were under the sun a few days ago.

I have never gotten much to come off of wild stuff. Mari, on the other hand, is full of nasty worms, spiders and all kinds of stuff... good thing that I am not into Mari stuff. :)

I just picked with up at a LFS. In pretty good shape compared to what we normally see.

Thanks. Its already healed up and has new growth where it was cut. Looking like it will be a turquoise with purple tips and maybe red polyps but we will see. The plan it to frag it up and recoup some of the money spent on it, even though I got a good deal it was still over my coral budget. Plus this way I still get a nice frag off it and can spread it around and share with others. Sps have been harder to get locally.

Here are two I saved from the smallest little frags both have been in my system at least 1+ year first appears to look like an echinata but it is super slow and thick branched. Unlike the echinata
Second one. No clue on the species yet

They are doing good, the last smooth skin piece I liked lost a few branches on the bottom but that was my fault I am sure. I need to grab some pictures. They are going through their color changes slowly and none have browned or been stressed out besides that one piece.
I have been thinking about selling off all the smaller pieces and fragments I have left and getting another box.
Did your local store quote you a decent price on a box? I would never order from stores around here because they all just order select pieces from wholesalers. If they would get a box of fresh pieces I might consider it if they never opened the box.

I put most of these in friends tanks but the ones I liked I kept but eventually died from my tank fluctuating too much. I had moved my 500 gallon system into a 100 gallon Rubbermaid and it took a while to settle in and I made a few mistakes That didn’t help. I haven’t visited my friends tanks in a while but if I do I will take some pics.
I was thinking about getting some Tonga stuff but I may just get a few from LA that I like since I don’t have much room now.
I want to take some pics now that things started growing ok but I don’t want to jinx myself. But it’s mainly hard to find time.
