@joshporksandwic said if he was going to be stuck inside then his tank was going to be spotless! HA!

So if you're stuck inside what types of things will you be looking to accomplish in terms of your tank? What's the "to do list" look like?

What are some things you can do that you might otherwise put off for later?

Here are a few ideas for you: (I'll keep adding ideas from this thread)

  • Clean and maintain pumps
  • Water Change
  • Sand cleaning and maintenance
  • Install equipment
  • Tank Planning
  • Water Testing
  • Test RO/DI
  • Clean and Sell used equipment
  • Clean Sump
  • Clean Tank
  • Finish outstanding projects
  • Clean overflows
  • Inspect and clean lighting, fans, lens etc.
  • Manage wiring
  • Manually pull algae
  • Frag Corals
  • Sort and Organize

Tear down and maintenance on my pumps. Replace my heaters. Figure out and crimp connectors for my latest reef-pi build.

GF has shown interest in starting her own tank so I might walk her through my testing. She successfully did a WC and sandbed vacuum yesterday. So excited ;Happy

This is my current list:

Clean tank real good
Acclimate and add cleanup crew today
Install new Reef Brite XHO-K30 LED Kit
Clean Pumps (maybe)
Clean up tank room

What are some things we may not think of that we could do that we normally don't do?

Finish new tank stand and mount new lighting stands. Next get stand and tank out of the garage.

Day dreaming and planning my 180 build. Working on equipment list, custom stand design, custom sump, and other odds and ends.

And dont forget all those odds and ends, clean up that salt creep, blow out those fans, test your RODI make sure it's still pure water, arrange the fish supplies, clean up and sell old equipment, post on R2R

I'm in the middle of a 125g build, so makes things easier, but have to remain patient

I'll be stuck at home by Friday....actually taking vacation anyway and not flying to Arizona.

Clean circulating pumps...though I noticed the lack of vinegar at my local store.
Set up my Ranco controller.
Maybe clean sump.
Maybe buy some corals online.

I will be finishing my stand. Maybe call a glass shop and build sump and brace the top of tank. And deep clean freshwater tanks.

I did a breakdown of my fowler this weekend. Double water change, sump cleaning, clam and mussel shell removal, cleaned overflows, glass covers, lights, cleaned cabinet.

Cleaned out my RODI/Salt container

On my new 120 = built the canopy and mounted one of the lights for now. Reran the 2 main electrical cords with new thicker extension cords today.

Tomorrow I will do a deep clean of my coral and invert QT.

This coming weekend, I will start dosing 2 part and once stable I will put my first tester coral in the 120 from my existing 55.

I also will plan to re run my RODI lines in my cabinet and finally get the water guardian setup properly,

Completely finish my rescape with rocks that have been cycling in my system water remotely. Water change on my big tank. Frag coral to trade/sell once this all blows over.
