Cable management, finishing enclosing my metal stand with wood panels, installing my ATO when it gets delivered

Oh yeah. Not really stuck at home (unfortunately), but I started working on my sump last night.

Got some new wave pumps on the way... Tunze 6105's, and an Apex cable for them. Hope to have them set up over the weekend.

As for staying home... just another day in the life. I work out of my home office every day. Heck, my truck won't come out of the garage for weeks at a time. Wife does most of the shopping and such.

I've been working for years to make sure the phrase 'well known local hermit' appears in my obituary :)

Got Whisky, food, water... all the essentials. Even well stocked on bog rolls :D

What are some things we may not think of that we could do that we normally don't do?
I think just sit and watch the tank. We all glance at it but how often do we just sit there and watch our tanks for longer than 5-10 minutes . I think there's alot they can tell us if we just watch for long enough.

I am working on getting this stupid stand built...been working on it here and there for weeks now... :)

I'll be ready for water any month now...

You stole my answer! I did this just this morning. Just sat and stared for a good 30 minutes. In addition to learning more about your tank inhabitants, it's also a great cure for the anxiety-virus we all have right now.

Just spent an hour pulling hair algae. Spent an hour yesterday and will again probably Thursday.

Tidy up under my cabinet, getting rid of stuff no longer being used or that is old.

Mount some frags that have been languishing on the frag rack.

Clean pumps and power heads.

Possibly start a 2 gallon pico reef if I find myself with a lot of time on my hands. I have everything to do it just never have got a "round tuit" lol.

Would love to read that manual about culturing copepods/ plankton that everyone refers to, but no luck looking for a pdf or library loan...

Just got my tank cycled and running after what seemed like forever. Time to get everything transferred over. The trick is going to be resisting the urge to suddenly move everything now that I'm stuck at home.
That’s understandable

I've been fairly busy with the tank the past week or so. Hooked up a UV sterilizer, re-ran some probe cables to isolate them from power cables, and I'll be replacing the return pump in the next day or two because our Snapper/Dart has a leaking rear seal just shy of six months use. So long Reeflo, hello Iwaki!

I’d like to, but that would require heading out to the hardware store. Not to pick on Home Depot, but their only self checkout option in my area is to grab a scan gun that who knows how many people grabbed before me, and scan my products. 2 weeks ago, I wouldn’t have thought twice about that. In this environment, no freakin’ way.... I’ll wait...

I'm ill health retired so I'm not at home anymore but I have plenty of jobs that need doing but I can only do so much at a time and that's not much but my son was home last weekend from university and we got most of the wiring sorted out and my tank is now voice activated through Alexa and some smart Power Strips so now it's "Alexa turn return pump off" happy days.
