Wow great growth. Running full probiotic?

Nerd... HAHA, just kidding. :) Pretty useful tool.

You got that right:D:D First time I mixed the recipe, I had my conversions off and weighed out too much and had to throw a bunch of product away. I am also about keep it simple ;)

Not sure what full probiotic amounts to but.... I dose Pro bio S, Pro bio F, and use Reef Salt... I run their carbon, zeomix, and use phos minus when needed...
Here is another example
Pixie Stick
Nice looking corals,

I have a quick question... what nutrient levels are considered "Ultra Low"?
I would say ...ULNS = 0.00NO3 and 0.00PO4 on common test kits...

Do you run carbon and zeo all the time? Or as needed as well?

You still need a trace of Po4 and No3 in a system to run a health ULN system.

I would say 0.02 or so PO4 and 2-5 ppm nitrate. Its called ultra low nutrient system not zero nutrient system so a very little bit of both is good.

With 5ppm of nitrates, I won't considered a system ULN on my side but LN only. :D

On the AF guide they recommend very low levels, eg.: 0.1-0.5 / 0.01-0.04 , then what should we call that ?

With common test kits at zero NO3&PO4 by making a ICP test you would still have nitrates and Phosphates which cannot be detected by the common test kit.

If we take the Hanna Po4 tester which I use for po4 reading levels and look into the spec of the checker, I can ready following.

@ 25°C/77°F ±0.04 ppm ±4% of reading Accuracy .

I think it is also important to mention no nuisance algae growing anywhere. For years I have tested 0 for PO4 and 0 NO3 but I have a lot of turf algae. In my case I think i am going to end up pulling all sand and rock and starting new.

I had the same issue about 5 months ago. I bought a large cleaning crew, started running a small amount bio pellets, Np pro and Pro bio s and all the algae disappeared in 5 weeks.

How much zeo do u run passive how often do you change and what is ur total water volume
Which is better to run phos minus or zeo

The AF guide says PO4 0.01 to 0.04ppm and nitrate 0.1 to 0.5ppm for SPS dominated systems. Both of these are measurable by hobby kits. Another thing AF guide says and highlight that limiting nitrate is not good for the system so if it read 0 you should feed more. To be on a safe side targeting 1-2 ppm is better as you have a margin of error.

Phos minus and zeolites are not an "either or" they treat completely different issues in the tank. Phos minus is self-explanatory and the zeolites help to remove ammonia before it can be converted to nitrates (basically stops that nitrogen cycle).
