Tomini tang spot?

The only symptoms I see are rubbing, flashing, head twitching, erratic swimming behavior

Does not show any of the others

Ok, I hope I'm wrong and that's why I want the experts opinions. It might help if you can take a video of your fish to show how they're acting

It keeps saying my file does not have a allowed extension

Beautiful clowns! (I love clowns). At first it looked like normal clown behavior but then I did see the flashing. How is your foxface? You may want to do a freshwater dip to check for flukes also

I looked back at the beginning of this post and realized @Flippers4pups already suggested that and then we ended up going a completly different direction

Thank you. The fox face is doing fine swimming normal looks great. I don’t know maybe I am over reacting since I did just lose the tang but I don’t remember them acting this way before but could be territorial thing as well because the fox face has been hanging out where they like to be and he’s still new to the tank

Hopefully that's all it is. I'm still concerned about what took the tang though, I'd hate to see an outbreak of something and see you lose more fish

Yeah me too I got everything set up and ready to go so just kinda waiting and see if one of the other guys have any input on what to do or what they think took the tang

Do these spots look the same in person as they do in the pic?

Which spots are we seeing

I think that white you are seeing is the reflection from the water still because I just got him from the water and started taking pictures

I think your tang had some type of infection. Could have been gram negative, positive, or a myco infection. Stuff happens sometimes and really nothing you can do. Sometimes fish flash for no reason so watch those clowns and see if anything comes of it. If it is from a parasite or fluke it will gradually get worse.

That’s what I think as well because he did have a open cut on his back half and kind of think it just got bad real quick but the clowns doing what they were doing kinda had me worried but I’m just keeping a eye on them now

I’m thinking probably flukes and secondary infection is what got the tang, I would give a freshwater dip to one of the remaining fish if you never dipped the tang, to check.

If you’d dipped the tang right after he passed, that would have likely shown them.

I didn’t do the freshwater dip on the tang I tried a different medication. I’ll try doing one of the clowns tonight. If it does show flukes what do I do next?

Two rounds of prazipro dosed 5 to 7 days apart is the first treatment to try, aerate heavily when using it.
