When I do buy from some reefers from here in the future, I already know who to go to! I hear great feedback about several sellers on here and have heard an alarming amount of bad feedback from others(which I will avoid). This gives me more trust when prepairing to buy some coral and trust somebody with my hard earned moola!

I Really feel comfortable with some of these sellers and reading lots of their posts I know they maintain healthy livestock and are not "chopshopping."

A couple of you already posted on here! Cant wait to order something!

Well, unless the thread is able to be restored (possible, but not certain), anything said here will be speculation and/or recollection.

But my recollection is this, having followed the thread up to the point of accidental deletion:

OP questioned if his acro was in fact actually RR avengers.

Shrimplet maintained he sold the OP what SC sold to him (Shrimplet) as RR avengers.

SC Mike did not recall selling him a frag of RR avengers on the day in question, only chalices (some of which SC Mike told Shrimplet not to post pictures of or sell as they were unreleased, but Shrimplet later did to raise funds for medical need. Others jumped in to respond to this - which was where most of the forum prohibited vulgarity occurred.).

Shirmplet maintained he purchased chalices and RR avengers on the same day.

(Neither SC Mike nor Shrimplet offered any proof whether the acro was or was not purchased)

RR USA said the coral in question didn't look right, but did recall selling a piece to SC Mike a long time ago. RR offered to check out what SC currently had (in attempt to verify if it is the correct acro).

SC Mike then showed the photo of the frag he purchased from RR when RR obtained the acro.

SC Mike offered to the OP to bring his colony to him, for comparisons sake.

If anyone else have anything to add to this summary, please be as factual as possible in your recollection and rather not emotional.

Sounds like you summed it up and from that summary there is a lot of speculation. Maybe Mike will jump in and clear things up.

OK guys.. heres my one and only post. If people think im gonna knowingly sell a fake piece to make a couple bucks then you must not know me. I only sold a handful of this piece because ever since i got it its had issues (RTN, bleachin, Browning out) .. So the people people that Got a piece of this coral from me are welcome to ship it back if u dont want it anymore. i will send you whatever you want in credit or refund you... whatever we can work out.

THis is the fact from me.. I dont ever recall selling shrimplet a piece of this coral..

The customer that got the piece from shrimplet came in here 3 days ago showed me his piece and told me how dissapointed he was.. and i felt bad so i gave him a piece of mine... FREE!

I bought that piece from tony at RR and have kept my eye on it from day one.. but after tony comes in and verify and if he dont think its his RR avenger then i will no longer sell it as RR avenger i will sell it as SC avenger. The only thing i can think of is i messed up and mixed up the one piece with another.. im human i make mistake.. but i highly doubt it. but i will never sell a piece just to make a couple bucks.. not my style.

From the original thread

The op did in fact take his purchase from shrimplet to rr and tony said it is not the same

The op then took the colony to sexy corals to compare and mike said it is not the same

From my recollection the original picture the op posted was of his colony from shrimp next to mikes avenger in mikes tank

Mike stated he also have the op a piece of the real avenger while in the store because he felt bad he got duped

It was also pointed out in the thread by Reef Raft that neither colony pictured looked like the avenger.

Well there ya go... Sounds like a legit vendor to me. I have known Mike for years and he may talk funny, a little fast, call or message you at 2am, talk a LOT of smack, sell over priced coral and the list goes on but I've never heard of him ripping people off.

And since this isn't a feedback thread why don't you post up the other vendors selling "fake" corals. Instead of always being the first to try and bash mike for some reason

That was not my understanding. I thought the OP was showing two colonies in the OPs tank, from which both were grown from frags which were sold to him as RR avenger. The one in the background was one he originally purchased from Shrimplet. The origin of the one in the foreground was not mentioned.

The picture was taken at SC with the OP's colony and SC's colony. The OP of the original thread stated that. Here's his new feedback thread to verify.

Shrimplet did say the piece of RR avenger he got from SC was browned out. SC kept a good eye on the piece they got from RR. RR says both pieces in the first pic of the deleted thread didn't look right. There's a lot going on here. One thing is a FACT, I want a piece of this infamous RR AVENGER Acro!

I'm not bashing someone it's my opinion just like it's always yours to protect your coral god :squigglemouth: no one else on here is answering everyone's posts when Mikes credibility is in question but you :noidea:. I'm sure the R2R family knows who's a cheerleader on here and for who :cheer2: I'm just one that hates to see someone get taken advantage of live by 1 rule treat others how you would like to be treated and I always treat people fair :bigsmile: feedback speaks for itself can't say the same for you there kiddo :rapture:

Turb we all know which side you are on.

As for what is going on, there is a lot of speculation, assumptions, and finger-pointing going on. RR did say they BOTH did not look like the RR Avangers. To say SC sold a fake intentionally or to say Shrimplet intentionally sold a fake with the lack of evidence is pretty sad.

Go read my feedback threads about those so called negatives. For a good soap opera. And how people like to lie and take advantage of others. But not getting into that here

Did anyone see that Mike posted in here to resolve the issue?? He even said he will refund anyone that purchased the coral from him if they no longer want it. What more could anyone want? The drama continues even after the facts are posted.. Im gonna go watch Days of Our Lives with a big bowl of popcorn, I want real soap operas!
