Looks like yellow tang, but different shape. It has a very light blue tint on its dorsal fin. Also
I had 1000z of pods, after adding it, within 24hrs, i cant see any, i thought tangs are algae eaters.

IMO it looks like a mimic tang. They are algae eater but they will also eat meaty foods, pods, and other foods. My tangs barely touch the nori sheet I put in the tank, but they love the mysis.

Look like a mimic yellow tang. But how big is your tank? Generally it will become big and yes they are algae eaters but they are also omnivorous.

Tank is 24" cube. Size if the tang is 2". Also have a small ywg and a pair of baby percs

I will not keep it there. Its not worth keeping it there as it will very soon reach a size of 4-5 inch and the tank space will be limited. Also they will be stressed and attack other fishes in your tank and may also invite ich overtime. Get something smaller.

It's a yellow mimic tang. They are in the middle for tang aggression. Being an Acanthurus species, it will be susceptible to parasites. It will quickly outgrow your tank.

Parasites? Arent all tangs susceptible?

They are but you increase the probability alot by keeping it into a smaller tank and stressing it out.

It ate all the pods except for these tiny slug type pods.

It helps to strengthen the best course to follow. I just start my posting about an hr before you. If you were posting first it would be vice-versa.

It is going crazy i guess, i jus saw, i had some 30 mini brittle stars on my seafans, all gone. Eats constantly. I bought sera marine nori gourmet, it jus smelled it and dint eat at all. One good thing is it ate all the diatoms on the silicone.

It will have either introduced ich or not. Not overtime. :)

Could be an Atlantic Blue Tang too.

Semantics aside the advice given is good.

Looks like yellow mimic to me as well. They don't get that large (8" according to LA). I had one several years ago and they get to be a pretty dull color when they get their adult coloration (pretty blah looking really). As I recall it was a very peaceful fish and a good worker but just kind of plain Jane looking as an adult.
