What will you NEVER add to your tank again?

Kenya tree and those big green palys. They are like weeds in my tank. I don't want a tiger striped serpent star. It ate my CUC. Urchin...beautiful, but was like a bull dozer. Maroon clown -Too territorial. Kept re-decorating and knocking off coral; so much that it killed a few. Also "loved" several nems literally to death.

There would be a long list of things... But that last great catastrophe was a Scribbled Rabbitfish. Lost over $500 worth of my prized Zoas within a week. He would never eat them if someone was in front of the tank. Finally spotted him finishing off my KedsReds from across the room!

I purchased a huge 50 eye war coral colony. The xoral is nice, but not the bristleworms that were inside of the rock.

Even after I diooed the war coral in Revive, it wasn't strong enough. To kill the worms.

Now I see 5 bristleworms in my display tank.

Every night, I have my tweezers in ine hand and a flash light in the other...ready for hunting season.

Leave them be bro. Without bristleworms, you don't even want to know what could happen to your tank! They control their own population very well.

Agreed. They are the best cleanup crew you can have and they don't cost a thing.

No fish yet. But why no clownfish or watchman goby? They were on my list to get.

six line jerk, i mean wrasse, killed 140$ worth of ora fish in 2 days... and a 10$ clown goby that proceeded to eat all the polyps on my most expensive acros eventually leading to their demise.

Darn six lines... One of my family members really REALLY wanted to add one to the tank because it was so small and pretty, even though I had about 5 other fairy wrasses (not the cheap ones either)! In a month there was only one little devil roaming the tank... They have red eyes for a reason you know. THE DEVIL FISH!

Snow flake eel. It has beat and nipped all my tangs to death. Because of a Tangs sleeping habits it made them an easy target. Started with tails being nipped then eventually my Powder Blue, Yellow, and Naso tang are dead. I am constructing a new tank just for the Eel. Even though it killed off expensive fish I still like it.

I have a golden dwarf moray eel that I think might have eaten my pair of yasha gobies and my tiger blenny. But she's so small I still have doubts that she ate them. I'm just like you though, eels are just way too unique to not keep once you've had them. I've grown very attached to mine!

Daww, she's so cute. She can eat all the small fishies she wants. Just not my fatty picassos.

A juvenile red cori wrasse. Beautiful fish, especially as a juvenile. Stupid fish would pick up baseball sized rocks and take them from one side of my 300g tank and drop them on top of sps frags. Took me forever to catch that SOB!

About 20 years ago I added some brown star polyps to a 100 gallon tank I had. I was even warned about this stuff back then, but I had to have it.
It spread like wildfire. Covered huge amounts of live rock. Grew up over many corals.
As I upgraded tanks through the years, I moved rock and corals from that one tank and somehow managed to move the star polyps from tank to tank.
About 2 years ago I noticed I was finally rid of the stuff, but I am keeping my eye out, with kalk paste ready.
