It worked like a Turkey blaster, hot liquid did not stay inside syringe. Maybe it was too hot.Why would it squirt out? The water should stay inside until you push the plunger.
I use 10ml but have even grabbed a 50ml to make sure that thing melts into near nothing and no cell left alive...
the best part is it doesn't matter if the nem goes into it's hole.. you just flood its hole with LAVA!!!
Edit: just be carful of curious fish and shrimp or nearby corals

In case ya’ll didn’t know, Tamberav is a full fledged nurse. She ain’t afraid to use her syringes.
I used a 20mL syringe. The anemone turned to cooked mush.
I will get a Copperband because they look cool and may eat aiptasia. Let’s see…

That is what I used from BRS, also tried a smaller one with a tip on it.That is not a syringe. You need like an actual syringe with a plunger that keeps contents inside and has good control over blasting them...

I just nuked 2 big aptaisia in my tank.
I had to try a different method than ones I've done in the past like Kalk paste, nudies, boiling water, f-aptaisia, ect...
All worked short term. Nudies worked the best but you need to have hundreds of aptaisia for them to work. They won't find just a few, and when the tank seems clear and they die, there is always 1 or 2 they miss. Paste works great unless they are upside down, good luck with that.
This time I used lemon Juice and tweasers.
All flow has to be off.
In the past I have used lemon juice on frags. The aptaisia actually let go and fall off when lemon juice hits them. I've seen this a few times.
So this time I squirted lemon juice on and around there mouth. Didn't want them to release there gammets. I used a turkey baster to suck up anything floating away and the lemon juice so 1) you don't add to much to the tank and 2) it didn't hit another coral. Then squirt around the foot several times while still using the turkey baster. Just need to have a bin or bucket to shoot the bad water into. Eventually after 20 or 30 minutes of squirting around the foot, tweezers pulled off the whole anenome or what was left of it.
One last lemon juice squirt to make sure it's all gone.
I'll see in a few weeks if it actually worked. One thing is, you have to be real patient.

There are already really good answers. But just to stress it: Peppermint Shrimp and Peppermint Shrimp again. Put in around 5 per 200L and let them to their magic. you won't ever see them much but they work magic at night. It took me years to learn that while I was trying to use Aiptasia X or similar or eve inject acid into the Aiptasia. Does not work and destroys your microfauna over time. Got me into lots of trouble. Hot water also does not work. All the chemicals might kill this one bugger but more are to come. So I say it again: Pepperoni Shrimp (L. Wurdemanni).
I am keeping 3-4 in my 300L all the time as a "police" and have never had any Aiptasia ever again.

Your spot on !! I’ve tried just about everything out there that they say kill aptasia only have them come back in droves . Not to mention how many nearby corals harmed or lost in the process . The key is to identify and buy true peppermint shrimp. I went through failure of buying what I was told was peppermint shrimp only to find out they in fact were not . Natural is always best .

A combo of lemon juice and peppermint shrimp. I got the ones from ReefCleaners - I believe they source their crustaceans from tidal areas so they should be the authentic L. wurdemanii.

I did not say I used a Turkey blaster I said the syringe shot hot liquid out like a Turkey blaster, I’m betting the boiling water was too hot. The syringes used were from BRS and a Vet syringe also. Looked just like the pics provided by you. The berghia are working fine, no need to shoot them with a syringe. Thank you for the info.That is not a syringe. Aiptasia X did nothing to control my aip problem, it seemed every time I killed 2-3, I’d find 4-5 a few days later. I bought 10 Berghia Nudibranch from
and within a couple weeks, the aip was completely gone. I still find a few nudis in the tank, so they’re obviously still finding something to eat, but I’m not seeing any.

Lastly, peppermint shrimp WORKS. I reckon getting "young" peppermints would have greater chance than matured ones. Let the younglings develop a habbit of consuming aiptasia as source of food because it's hard "to teach an old dog new tricks". I've kept one peppermint since it was a baby in my 32 gallon tank. All works well; haven't seen a single aptasia since.

I have two in my RS625 DT - a year ago i spotted a couple Aptasia heads and added them. They have been there ever since and there is ZERO Aptasia in the DT as far as I can tell. My sump however is completely infested with Aptasia and I am considering putting a couple down there.
