How does everyone have their aquarium set up in their home? Is it in a separate room, or part of the main living area?

I love being able to see my aquarium from just about any room in the house.

Mine is parallel with the stair case, staircase has a Harry Potter closet so it’s perfect location for equipment and electrical separate
I have a coat closet that sits to the left and behind my tank. Perfect location to hide my ATO container, and loud DOS unit.

Mine is in the family room so while watching tv i can look to the right to check on it only to realize i just missed 30 minutes of the show I was watching.
I can relate, yesterday morning I sat in front of the tank for 2 hours just drinking coffee. Time just flies by.

Exactly, I think I will always put a tank next to a closet, it really just makes everything easier with space. My Harry Potter closet is also next to the guest bathroom, so I also have RODI plumbed to it, then goes into Harry Potter closet and into float valve, almost nothing to worry about.

This used to be the front entry coat closet. Definitely put to better use in Florida seeing that we very rarely need to wear coats.

Your aquarium looks great but you need glass doors, will help with viewing when closed :)

Great setup I see what you mean about the glass doors would definitely give some more viewing angles!
