that's a great idea must make for easy cleaning, I have to do all my cleaning from the top of a ladder, every time I need to do something I need to bring the ladder in, so much fun.

yep, I do that. it does help that I work nights.
lol I need a step stool or ladder for just about everything even when I need to fill my dosing containers and Trident with regen solution. Filter socks are about the only thing I don't need to be on a ladder for.
that's half the fun of setting up a reef tank. When I had my 150 set-up I was using 3 250w MH and 4 160w VHO's it gave off a ton of heat when I plumbed in the chiller, I cut holes in the wall behind the fish tank and in the bathroom just behind it pumped the hot air exhaust into the bathroom and the wife loved it the room was always warm I had it rigged so when the chiller would kick on the bathroom exhaust would kick on as well to pull all the heat out.

I didn't, but my wife did, she could wear a sweater in July.
I like the cold. I swear when I turn on the AC to 76-74 she says she is cold, so I tell her to put some clothes on. Let me see, she puts on her PJ's, sweater and robe, I look at her and turn the temp down to 72. lolol
lol yep same I have the house set at 73 all year she would be in long pants and a sweater. It was way colder when we lived on Long Island and in Buffalo for school.
I grew up in R.I. and in the winter I would turn the heat off to my bedroom, and open the window if we have a blizzard, only for a short period because my mother would get upset if I get too much snow in the room. But I can't sleep if I am warm. Here in Las Vegas I have the AC on maybe 10 months a year.
we had a coal burning stove in NY and my dad would get the house up to 80-85 degrees in the winter we would all be sweating but mom and my sister were happy. It was nice coming in after playing ice hockey on the lake when it was time to thaw out though.
