Reef Tank Updates, Everything going great more or less.
Lost a few clowns, which was both my fault and my LFS fault.
I noticed that when we got them one of them in the bag was just lethargic, I walked back in LFS too ask if he was ok to make sure and the guy said
"oh hell be fine", Im still newbie so I said ok ill trust you.
I shouldnt have, my gut feeling was not to take it, Lesson learned. It was sick and killed 3 other fish of mine.
One survived and is still kicking butt 2 weeks later. Week after added handful of chromis to see if the tank did have brook or velvet.
So far everything is now thriving and eating like crazy.
NOW in the progress of setting up a small QT so this doesnt happen again and Ill QT all fish that come into the house.
Also got some new corals Saturday, large long tentacle plate coral, nice little blasto and another platter hammer for the euphyllia garden.
Basically sectioned out the tank, left rock is gonna be huge zoa and acan garden, middle mountain section big euphyllia garden, the right favia section.
Saving middle flat section from acros down the road.
All paramets very stable since I started dosing triton. That said cal and mag slightly low but stable, but dont wanna play mad scientist since they are stable.
Sending off ICP test this week and then will change dosing accordingly.
Current
PH - 8.2
dKH - 9
Cal - 400-420
Mag - 1290
Pho - 0
Nitrates and nitrites - 0
Salinity - 1.024-1.025
Not sure on the Pho and NIts - pretty sure they arent zero since fuge macros are thriving - running large fuge that has chaeto, pom pom and GHA growing.
no GHA in DT so letting it do its thing in fuge, removing soft ball size worth of all every 4-5 days.
