But I've always wondered why its called a foxface lo and not a lo foxface. Why isn't a onespot just called a onespot foxface lo then? I'm no scientist but the species categorization of those two seems fishy

Foxface (Siganus vulpinus). "vulpinus" means "fox-like". Supposedly this alluded to the pointed snout but they never explained this. It's also probably easier to just say "foxface" than "black-face rabbitfish".
