Chelmon rostratus… it’s basic, like the black tang’s (IMO, a very ugly and boring fish) species name is rostratum. Give the copperband something unusual like ‘Copperii’

If we’re talking scientific I think more scientists need to stop naming fish after people and have more fun. Like C lanceolotus and C wakanda. More of those please!

Copperband is probably just what we're used to it being called. It's also sometimes called the "Beaked Coralfish," or "Orange Stripe Butterflyfish" depending on what region of the world you're in. Sort of like how some corals get different common names!
