All the plastic!

The plastic that I am worried about is in the middle of the ocean, not in the reef. It's still bad but I wouldn't shame anyone in the hobby for the plastic in the ocean like it's their fault.

I also hate paper straws and won't use them because they are soggy and gross.

Maybe it's just me.

Paper straws suck! They leave my mouth dry like I'm not drinking anything. We can definitely do better than paper straws as a society

Donate to #teamseas, I think people in the hobby pay more attention to this kind of thing and inadvertently live greener lives.

I have said multiple times I’m part of the problem

lol, well maybe I’m ashamed of myself for being so self centered that I feel the need to keep animals in a box and produce a ton of waste while doing so

it’s just unfortunate the aquarium industry revolves around plastic which ends up in the ocean

I will try to find some foundations that are actively trying to remove the plastic and support them

that seems to be the best thing at this point

also, reducing my overall footprint in all areas of life can slightly ease my aquarium footprint

I’ll try to meditate and breathe less
That will help

instead of plastic bags for my dog poop I’ll prob just bare hand it n wait till I see a dumpster

I’m also going to start dumping a box of baking soda a day into the ocean to counteract ocean acidification

Look at it this way, think of all of the stuff you buy to drink or eat at the grocery store on a daily basis or basically anything you use on a daily basis. Most of it is packaged in plastic
