Amoo's Pasture 60 Gallon Shallow Reef

Since I know I won't have a ton of time today and I looked over and my blues were just coming on I snapped a quick picture.

Here's what $140 (With shipping) will get you from Aqua SD. Please note the one with the red arrow is my only personal fail from my last order, all other 10 are doing great and this one is hanging on, but not agreeing well with my tank (it happens). The blue arrow is the one I mentioned before that I found after a few month hiatus floating around behind my rockwork.

Everything else is freshly dipped and been in the tank about an hour.

Sheesh, you go for a pic of the clown and get these, nice try! :P

So after losing my first Anthias, I got a second pair, these two are very social. The female is actually more brave than the male. I took a few "phone closeups" and she managed to photobomb into a few of them as well.

I have a surprising collection of high end non-coral too! I just don't love them... But they exist in the frag tank!

I would say I wouldn't care if everything in my tank coral wise died with the exception of my anemone, but I've already proven that multiple times so it's just assumed at this point.

In other news, I got a response from Marine Depot, it'll be about a month till the IM 100s are in stock :(

Too bad about the IM 100's. Good opportunity to get a 400g though. Why wait

LOL even though I could support it with my stand I never again have any desire to go above 18"-20" for a tank. I just consider it wasted space.

@Maritimer so another story about Murphy. @Rakie convinced me that I needed to change my supplemental T5's to a different configuration so I am going from 2B+ & 2C+ to 2C+ and 2 Actinic. So I have the Aquatic Life T5 hybrid system. I actually pre-ordered them and have had them since they came out. It's an amazing system IMO and worth every penny, but Murphy helped me find the 1 flaw. So the little arms that hang down that hold the t5s in place that are usually metal, they have little rubber boots on them. For a passively cooled T5 lighting system. This of coarse means T5 light bulbs end up sticking to the little rubber boots. This of coarse means that when removing said stuck bulbs you manage to break one over your tank, not only sending glass shards everywhere, but also stabbing yourself deep and wide enough that I probably could have used a stich or two.....Murphy

Oh yeah, one of my Actinics were broken in the box so I'm waiting on a replacement...salt in the wound, literally and figuratively....

Ouch. And now you've gotta worry about the coating on the inside of that glass, and whether or not that chemistry is going to affect your tank . . .

Murphy (who was an engineer for the U.S. Navy) can be a right jerk sometimes . . .

The new coral looks nice, though!

Thank you for the Laugh. I was over on @GoVols build and lighting you up there too;)

What can I say, I like build threads.

Must say, props to @Rakie on our T5 convo we had privately. I have the Aquatic Life T5 Hybrid. For the last year I ran 2C+ and 2B+. I swapped it up to 2C+ and 2 Actinic. I'm really liking the look of it and everything in the tank seems to be responding well to the change. Outside of feeding the tank and dosing every few days I haven't had much time to do much else with this massive kitchen project going on. So since all updates need pictures, here you go.

I'm glad you're liking it! Actinic are criminally undervalued, but they're comprised of that sweet UV/Violet low range a lot of us are missing, or simply could use a little more of.

TO be fair.. we can't see that range for crap, so its barely noticeable to us. But corals notice it for sure.

Nice! That is pretty close to a smile for a Clownfish.

Yeah, it was more of a "you will feed me now".

Dunno if folks picked up on the eggs in front of the Nem on the rock. She wasn't the focus, but you can barely see the slight discoloration on her lips as she seemed to work extra hard this time on prepping her egg spot.

@GoVols IT BEGINS - I'll officially hate you in a few weeks. In the meantime, watching NW & Purdue. Always liked me some Pat Fitzgerald, even when he played for them in the 90s (I think)
