I am in the beginning stages of my 36x24x20 75 gallon tank. Tank is cycling and i am building the electronics box.

Wire cable duct is an ocder's duct tape. They are so awesome! Nothing like a bunch of wires to ruin a nice clean sump area

Totally OCD about algae & untidiness. Vac sump every 6 weeks. Clean glass daily / had to sell all our snails skimmer done ever 24hrs. We figure it cost a bomb let's look after it.

Wish I had sow one like that near me to help set something like that up with my tank. Looks awesome.

I was looking for a way to mount Apex equipment in the end of a peninsula, while having it looked organized and neat. Obviously I needed access when necessary , so this is what I came up with.

While tucked away in its cubby:

While pulled out when needed:

Great idea.

I really like to see the builds that take the time to dress the wiring instead of tucking it away like some of the users above

Here's my sump supporting a 300G thru wall tank. Sump accessible from both sides makes it a bit easier to work on.

Tank still recovering from when I spent a week reworking the plumbing and wiring.

Can I ask what is the dimensions of that sump?
The sump is 20x12x12. The ATO reservoir is separate and is 6x12x12. The sump is on a 15 gallon nano.

Pardon the picture quality. I love the mechanics almost as much as the inhabitants! I'm thankful for my wife's patience, she knows I love the mechanics and isn't pressuring me too much for me to build the wrap. I plan to tackle that later this winter, haven't decided what wood type to go with yet.

PJS, where did you get that basin for all your equipment? I am assuming it's for spills/ overflows.. That is something I am after. Thanks.

What do you mean by dressing the wiring?

I had the "bathtub" made by a friend of mine here in Champaign Illinois, he owns Illini Plastics. I have my Apex ALD sensor right next to the sump on the bottom of the "bathtub", gives me real peace of mind.

Thank you
We specially went for design tank and sump that's easy to work on, able to access all sides etc. Helps so much if its easy, you tend to be more motivated to actually do what should be done, because is faster and easier, instead of putting off all the time because you dread the mess and hassle.
Simple is best.
Easy clean tank too. all round. no hidden spots .
