BRS prices?

I noticed that they had some crazy prices and wondered if they were trying to raise cash with a fire sale?

She may have said; "Yes, but you have to pay in cash>"

I posted my original complaint in the sponsors forum about having to pay normal prices verses a much cheaper price. Kind of aggravating but BRS has been a good supplier for many years, I can forgive them this once. I just received an email saying my order has shipped so lets see what happens?

I have had these kinds of things go both ways. Often times the order is just cancelled and the payment refunded, even after they initially said it would ship. NOte: I have not had this kind of incident with BRS, but other vendors where the prices were too good to pass up! Good Luck!

I don't know why anybody would think that the prices would be honored. They have no legal obligation to honor them, they were mis-marked, no different than an item on a store shelf where the price is not honored at the register.
See, you say that yet I called out of curiosity and got confirmation from BRS this afternoon that the price I purchased it for would be honored

It was enough to get me to bite lol. Even if I just use it as a PH controller the price is hard to beat.

I have no need for a controller at this point but it makes me want to bite just because. Maybe I can control a space heater with it in my basement :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:

Maybe the item you purchased was part of the original plan/sale?
This is an interesting thread lol… if they do honor all those “MISTAKES” was this really a mistake? Hmmm :thinking-face: With all the rumors going around it’s hard to believe anything haha!

Why? They don’t have to honor an honest error and mistake. None of us are entitled to them honoring a very clear mistake

Because it's the right thing to do. Honoring the mistake is something I respect. I would do the same. Gestures like this are what keep me as a customer.

This is not directed at you BTW - jus an general observation.

Its easy to throw around platitudes about "the right thing to do" without having to be the party held to upholding it. I am sure we all do it in certain instances.

Who pays for the loss? Sure a simple mistake that costs a few bucks and a nice customer service gesture is one thing, but what if this error was to the tune of a $50K or $250K or more? Who loses their job or has their salary cut or what contractor gets fired to make up the difference?

I would not expect any vendor to take a loss on something due to a pricing mistake like this and would not expect a customer to demand that I honor such a mistake. Frankly, I would not want customers like that and would prefer they take their business elsewhere.

I would assume it depends on the margin of the item and/or if it was caught, dropped shipped (automated) etc. I imagine that they have a mess to deal with.

Not only humans, but shopping bots deigned to exploit things like this for resale.

Agreed, but you left no wiggle room in your previous comments.

It appears that for a short time they mistakenly marked the entire site down 45% and people rushed to take advantage (orders will not be fulfilled). It was correctly corrected.

There is as much wiggle room as you want there to be. It was just a simple quick thought about expectations. Nice that some of you are getting stuff at a discount instead of a refund.

as apposed to incorrectly corrected. hmm ;)
I can't see the autocorrect on my iPhone without my reading glasses, let alone type on one. I am old.

It should have said "It was corrected."
