Wut!? What kind crap is that? So with all the floods in Nebraksa/Kansas, my friends and family should just "deal with it?" People who have houses destroyed by a tornados shouldn't put their hands out for help? And if my livelyhood is destroyed, here in cali, due to an earthquake, i shouldn't ask for help either?
Just... wow. People cant even have a simple conversation about a natural disasters without some self righteousness nonsense getting shoehorned into the conversation. Such a shame some people think this way.
Even if the help is unfortunately unavailable, not all of us are too proud to ask for it.

Okay, time to reset back to the original purpose of the thread please. And thank you #Mods
My tank is an acrylic 36" wide x 31" front to back x 36" tall x 1.25" thick "not a cube" tank of a tank. You may have seen it early in it's life on T.V. if you ever watched "Tanked" (I know, there are plenty of people who want to hate but please, this thread has already been derailed once. And thank you Wade King for procuring the acrylic block for my project. Very kind of you. ) On the episode where they built the the "semi truck" tank for Shaq, they miscalculated the size and had to start over. They sold me the rejected tank for cost as it was just sitting in the warehouse. So I have that 130ish gallon tank over a 36" x 36" x 24" 120ish gallon sump/refugium on an extruded aluminum stand. (I really should get around to making a build thread, my bad.)

As we celebrate how great a country this is on this July 4th holiday weekend, just remember that you are on your own (despite the fact that you paid taxes) and that your fellow Americans couldn’t care much less about you, apparently.
Also, when we were dumping billions of dollars to help Texas, Louisiana, and Florida Americans recover from hurricanes it was A-OK, but as soon as California Americans suffer a natural disaster, it’s “THEY are on their own”.
Wow, what city? I didn’t video mine but a little water sloshed out over the top onto the floor from a reefer 170. Good thing it’s sitting on a wool rug since the floor is hickory hardwood.
Definitely a long roller, we’re an hour away in the desert. Wasn’t fun by any means. Watched the ceiling roll along with everything else, no cracks.

The weather, I don’t like flying let alone through the air, no tornadoes, hurricanes, floods. Just the occasional wind and mother’s nature adjustment.
+1, from a fellow high six figuresBecause it pays more here for the same work than almost anywhere in the world. That’s why I’m here at least. An mp40 is $400 here and in Iowa, median income in Iowa is less than 40k. I’d rather do the same work and theoretically get paid over 150k and put up with the earthquakes for awhile. That’s a lot of extra mp40’s I could get for living in “such a bad state”.
