Enough with the live sales already

It's all good. There was certain politics being debated but your opinion of negativity may differ from other people's opinion of negativity and I didnt see anything wrong with adults speaking intelligently about differences when the topic of the thread had stayed intact and alot of good info was being shared.

Yes they will be removed quickly and once they go political they almost always get ugly quick!

No I didn’t censor it I just closed it because referring to our good sponsors or any good members as scammers isn’t going to fly unless it’s the truth. When it is the truth we’ll come in hot and heavy and fight with you to get your money back. Just because someone thinks one way or doesn’t like something doesn’t make it a scam. If we were censoring we wouldn’t even know that thread or this one existed.

I’m confused, so outright closing a thread isn’t censorship? Read the thread no one called anyone a scammer directly. They were calling out the insane pricing and the frequency of the sales. As a matter of fact some were giving positive reviews of some sales.

You say that this is your business, which makes us your customers.

Shutting down dissenting threads is like any other website burying or deleting negative product reviews. And if thats not the case, then it’s just plain o’le nanny state protectionism, which is just as absurd, because no one is on here posting obscenities. Those protections are built in. When I search on here I want the straight facts no matter how painful it may be to the vendors, sponsors or manufacturers.

i really like this site but more and more it’s becoming like twitter or Facebook, both of which I do not use because of the morality police, the virtue signaling and the oppression of free/opposing thought.

Cant remember the name of the thread but I believe @Hemmdog started it or we where having good conversation about what stocks to buy and I'll be honest I took some of that advice and I'm sure it was good advice now.
Certain political things where brought up in thread but for the most part we where having intelligent conversation and a little debate but nothing got heated and alot of good information was shared and then the thread was gone for whatever reason.
Not making a big deal just bringing it to your attention. As I've see quite a few posts lately about censoring and maybe you where not aware.

Honestly we make mistakes and close threads sometimes that maybe should stay open.

We don’t delete feedback though.

Because all I seen in that thread where alot of really good stock info being exchanged and a few posts of people expressing feeling about certain politics but thread stayed on topic and worked through all that?

I have seen that here and totally agree with the move of certain threads being closed and totally get it.
I have also been part of and seen certain threads closed or censored that kinda left a bad taste and i spoke up only because i know it bothered me and obviously others.
That being said. I love it here. I actually kinda feel like i worked through my grievance and i was totally wrong on something and can admit that but I am totally right on the other.

Anyone else getting tired of all the live sales? Give me a regular sale with a coupon code. This shotgun tactics and convincing people they are saving money is annoying. Would be nice if it stopped.

That's why I've never looked at those auctions, not my thing. I like to look at corals in my cart for a few days before i buy.

But i really enjoy going to the store and just getting frags from there because I'm usually the only one there and i can take my time and really check out all the frags.

What really gets my goat,

Any type of sale, live or flash, clearance or close-out, open box deals, etc, etc...

Any of those that hype it up and you go see the price and you save like $5. Or worse, you end up buying it and find the same thing, or close on another site for same or less. Or worse, you fight A live sale all day to get a frag, next day vendor has left over of that frag and puts it on sale even lower. Or worse, you buy what you want and then get 100 emails hitting you up with more saving codes to buy more next 3 days in a row

I like live sales, flash sales and the rest. I also would support just pricing things fairly from the start, if there is a sale make it a real sale. The meaning of the word sale has been lost if you do it every day. They should advertise it as the end of overpriced week pricing begins Friday night.

I appreciate the discussion but if we could keep it on topic and avoid talking about previous threads. Keeping this thread on topic will allow for good discussion. If you want to talk about censorship or why another thread was closed down start a thread to discuss it.

Discussion and disagreement is a good thing. However what we sometimes don't realize is that disagreement without listening is just shouting at each other. Not just listening from the people being yelled at but listening for the people doing the yelling.

Bottom line is what I have pulled from this thread is that the TSA flash sale model is a great thing. Best way to vote is with your wallet. Business is business and money is money. Would be nice if all stock wasn't saved for live sales as some have observed (not saying everyone does). Support your fellow hobbyist weather by buying from individuals on hear or companies through live sales.
